The Copenhagen End of Things meet-up
It was Tuesday the 19th of August. Foob, ShannC, XanderMorhaime and yours truly convened in Copenhagen for the first ever End of Things Euro get-together. We met up in a café which had excellent coffee and bad acoustics. We enjoyed five days of seeing sights, eating food, buying comics, and generally being internet people. The latter meaning we could reference a DMFA joke and we would all know what we were talking about.
Wednesday, after much touristing, we all sat down and drew. Among the results were these takes on a familiar face.

Argh, yeah. Image shack has banned comicgenesis for some reason.

Evan the Barbarian and Red Ryan made me LOL. Xander's work.
Thursday, after visiting Christiania, looking at the quirky local architecture and inhaling the marijuana-scented air, we all sat down and drew. Again. Among the results were these.

Friday, after visiting the zoo*, we all sat down and drew yet again. Among the results were these. (And that completes our collection of Evans.)
* Fun fact: the only tasmanian devils outside Australia are in the Copenhagen Zoo. Nasty looking buggers.

Nice job Paul. Now you have Evan's to last a lifetime Suburban.
It was a really fun evening at Foobs place. I haven't really tried to draw since high-school (10 years ago) so that explains the *heh* variety. Sitting around a table like that felt a bit like making Christmas decorations, or something.
That was one of the high points of the whole trip. Others including danish beer, seeing a hippo(at the zoo), walking through Christiania, Shawerma, the mermaid statue, army museum and talking about the internets(there's alot of that, out in RL there are surprisingly few people who care).
Paul and Foob were excellent hosts, and for me that was the best meet-up yet.
I'm really impressed by the finished result of Evan the barbarian. Heh, on the whole it became alot of jabs at coffee consumption, half eaten bagels and anorexia. My favorite however is Ev Lee(anorexic for a Texan) and Ivan Linin.

HA HA! You guys are awesome. Those are some great drawings!
Re: The Copenhagen End of Things meet-up
It was rather a cozy get-together. Paul and I took it upon ourselves to tour guide about Copenhagen, and we did drink coffee and we did make Xanders feet bleed with all the walking. Actually, his left leg fell off altogether... true story.
We even had a brief symposium on philosophy, which ShannC approached with aplomb and gusto.
Jolly hockeysticks!

Huh, my memory was totally off yesterday. It was Wednesday we were at Christiania, Thursday at the zoo, and Friday general city sightseeing. Oh well. I also forgot the PIN code to my credit card...

Ahahaha!! That drawing is so sooooo... YES!
Jokes aside, this is a wise and generous man.
Yes, it was excellent, and for all of you who didn't know, Foob has got an impeccable judge of character, which is why he presented me and Xander with some utterly charming part comic, part psychology/selfmanagement help booklets. This no doubt, because we are after all, people from the internets who need all help we can get!Foob wrote:It was rather a cozy get-together.
