MISS CG 2008

PLACE YOUR VOTES!
VOTING WILL BE CLOSED IN SEVEN DAYS

--------------------

Comic: AntiBunny
Name: Penelope Rabbintlov

One drawing of the character in swimwear
Image
A simple one piece swimsuit. Maybe she didn't know which way the camera was.

One drawing of the character in formal/winter clothes.
Image
Penelope could never actually afford this dress but it does look cute on her.

o A brief description of the character's skill and abilities.
Penelope's greatest asset is her public speaking ability. She's been given the nickname "Little Preacher Girl" for her street corner
sermons from the Book of Peter. Penelope is also very persistent even in the face of adversity. Though she's emotional and cries a lot she always comes back with new determination.

o Answer the following 3 questions:
1) What is your favorite flavor?

"Red Turnips. You know I was born a white rabbit. I turned this color from eating too many."

2) What\Who is your role model?
"My mother Pandora Rabbintlov whom sadly is no longer with us. But in the time I knew her she was an inspiration as a proud, strong woman, wife, and mother. I'll always strive to be like her."

3) What's your life goal?
"I want to spread the world of Peter, especially the message of all creatures living in peace and equality."[/quote]

--------------------

Comic: After the End
Name: Briar Rose

Image
Briar relaxing on the beach. As you can see, brown is her favorite color

Image
Briar in formal wear. How can she walk in those ridiculous shoes when her laces are undone?

-Briar is a princess under a curse, doomed to sleep for a hundred years. Rather disgruntled about her ending being stolen, she went on a quest to get it back for herself. Briar's skills include weilding a giant axe called Rose Halberd, fighting, and possesing enough determination for an entire kingdom.

Questions:
What is your favorite flavor?
"Well, I haven't eaten in the last hundred years--you know, sleeping curse and whatnot. But when I do wake up, the first thing I wanna eat is something spicy, to make my taste buds come alive again!"
What/Who is your role model?
"It'd probably be Rushes. She doesn't let on much, but she's been through a lot and still remains strong. She says she's weak, but she doesn't give herself enough credit. I'd like to have that kind of strength she has. Rushes has become a great friend in a short time."
What is your life's goal?
"At the moment, it's to get my ending back and live happily ever after, like I'm supposed to. Before the whole 'my ending got stolen' thing. So kicking the crap out of Rapunzel, getting my ending back, breaking my curse, and marrying my prince are pretty much what I've got planned for the moment."

Comic: In A Nutshell
Name: Jane Bond

Jane Bond is the wife of a famous international man of mystery, who occasionally goes looking for a little adventure of her own; she was featured in the June 19th strip entitled “Ladyfinger”

Dressed for a night at the opera.

Fun in the sun.

I don’t have recurring characters; therefore these answers are about me.
Favorite flavor: Banana, but not artificial, they just can’t get it right.
Role Model: My Dad, to know him is to like him.
Life’s Goal: To never completely grow up. I think it would take the fun out of life.

--------------------

Comic: Last Resort
Name: Jigsaw Forte

Image Image

For those who don't normally read Last Resort, this is Jigsaw Forte, an alien marsupial who also happens to be one of the volunteers on the titular reality show. However, at this point only a handful of the others on the show know that she's secretly a Vampire -- the only type of Dead Inside that can conceal its true nature -- and she would very much like to keep it that way, since there are far more than just a handful of people who would try to kill her over that alone.

She's already discovered a couple of handy advantages to being one of the undead though; not only is she much harder to "kill" now, she can also read the thoughts of those around her. Despite no previous experience in the department of "maiming and killing people" (Until her arrival, she was a professional violinist, hence the formalwear pose), she's already managed to earn a position as one of the Executioners on the show, but sooner or later she's going to have to prove she can do more than just look menacing...

What is your favorite flavor?
Well, it used to be this special type of octopus where you bit into it and it would as good as glue your mouth shut for the next five minutes as you tried to chew it up . . . the problem is, with all the changes I've been going through, one of the less obvious transformations is that it's tampered with my sense of taste. I've not had a great chance to try the octopus since and see if I still like it. Red Tea still tastes pretty good though.

Who is your role model?
Oh! That's an easy one; my Godmother. She's saved my life a couple of times as a child, and, well . . . I doubt I'd be where I am today if it wasn't for her. She's a phenomenal woman who's always been by my side, even when my mother wasn't in the best of health, and it's a shame more people can't appreciate her for everything she's done. If it's the last thing I do, I want to return the favor.

What's your life goal?
. . . Right now I'll settle for leaving this show with my friends and myself intact, thanks. Beyond that, I want to get back into my musical career . . . I'm thinking I'm starting to outgrow orchestral stuff and I want to start one of those Twilight Rock bands. Something that would bring me back to my prep school days and give me an excuse to break out the corsets and lace again.

**** I should add that in centuries ago, (and, well, today even), as a earth-based religion's follower, skinny-dipping is actually quite normal.

--------------------

Comic: Ardra
Name: Aldla Renelsior

Description of the character' abilities:

"I'm a Hollywood agent! I'm working to help usher in a new Age of Enlightenment by bringing a bit of class and real humor to the movie industry. I also have a 170 I.Q., but that sometimes doesn't help much in this town. For instance, I still can't figure out why, after being in 'Iron Man', Robert Downey, Jr. signed up to be in that stupid 'Tropic Thunder' movie. I'm guessing he probably 'fell off the wagon' again, if you know what I mean..."

1: What is your favorite flavor?

"Since you don't specify what it's a flavor OF, I'll just say 'variety', since that's the spice of life. Living life to its fullest is what I'm all about!"

2: What/Who is your role model?

"This is such a tough question! It would have to be one of the great comedians of modern times. Lenny Bruce, Ernie Kovacs, Andy Kaufman, John Belushi, George Carlin, just to name a few...how can I choose? Geez, all those guys are dead! And except for Carlin, they all died young...(sigh)."

3: What is your life goal?

"If my sister were asked this question, she'd say, 'To enlighten the masses and usher in a new renaissance'. A goal I share...but I also think it's important to have fun along the way. I guess my goal is just to make a bit of a positive impact in this world. Of course, there's nothing wrong with fame and fortune, either!"

Special abilities: Well, I am a decent singer, and I play great guitar. But of course, what you prorably really want to know is that I can control fire. Hey, it has its uses.

My favorite flavor is cranberry, especially if there's vodka in it.

My role models are many. I mostly look up to musicians who are almost gods in the industry, very talented, and still manage to be real, and not sellouts. People who don't forget why they're doing whatever it is they set out to do are the people I respect. I particularly admire the guys from Iris. They're great musicians, great people, and still find time to hang out in Green Gardens, Arizona.

My life goal. . . you know, technically, I'm too young to even have answered the first question the way I did, so I have a few things I might like to do, but haven't decided. I never want to give up my music, and balancing that and my new powers will be a trick and a half. Maybe that's a goal in itself- be a music goddess and yet, still have time to make the world a better place somehow, in a real, tangible way.

Pimpette knew I'd run away with this, and that's why she started early.

That's right, I just accused a veteran boarder of trying to rig a webcomic beauty pageant.

I can't believe I just read all those and made an educated vote instead of picking the one with the big knockers. :S

Okay so apparently I forgot to set this poll to end after seven days like the other two.

So here's a screenshot of the results as I saw them about sixty seconds ago:

First Place: Pimpette of Pimpette & Associates
Second Place: Aldla Renelsior of Ardra
Third Place: Penelope Rabbintlov of AntiBunny

Congratulations to all winners!
And kudos to everyone who threw their hat into the ring.

I feel stupid that I didn't try to throw together some trophies or something ahead of time. Anyone who's interested in an actual visible sort of award.. I promise you something by Sunday/Monday!

I'm the only one who DID!? Well I felt the personality+attitude towards things was the most enlightening without showing an unatural bias towards anyone...
