Hello, everyone. I'm an Old Keenspace fart, returning to try and clean up his messy comic. Old address was http://ooccomic.keenspace.com but that seems to have changed. Looking forward to getting back in the swing of things, but I've got some work to do I guess.

Well, then, welcome back to ComicGenesis, formerly KeenSpace, Drowin! Your art looks cute. I'm too tired to really give a valid opinion or even read right now, mind you, so eh... welcome back and good luck getting back into the swing of things! :D

Hiya, I'm new here. Actually, I started a comic on keenspace a while back, but I wanted to finish school and play videogames instead of work on it. I decided to venture back because I was screwing with photoshop one day after work and I enjoyed what I was doing.

I'm working on a pixel art comic or unfortunately referred to as sprite comic, but I assure you I did not steal any pixels! I only use the stuff I made myself. The style is your typical 16 bit RPG (a genre I grew up with!). I'd link you guys my website, but I'm still getting used to html and all coding stuff again. If you really want to see my buggy website, just put my name in front of comic genesis.

If you made it yourself, It's not a "sprite" comic, it's a pixel comic. Like Deisel Sweeties. Thus, the usual penalty of being a loser does not apply to you.
Congrats on going the extra mile to design all of that.

Hi,

I actually posted here a few days ago but it would seem that my post never actually appeared, so here goes again:

Just wanted to say hi to everybody over here at the Comicgenesis forum.

I'm a webcomics noob working on a webcomic with stories based on celtic myths and legends. At the moment I'm running the story of Beowulf. For those interested, take a look at : http://talesoflegend.comicgenesis.com . And as always feedback is welcome.

Anyway, I'd best get back to maintaining my comic page buffer^^

Argh, I lost my post.

Pladough! I like what you've got. I have a secret weakness for RPG sprite comics done with original sprites... pixel comics... so I'll definately check it out more as you update... >.> Your web design looks great. I prefer simple presentations, anyway. If I'd suggest anything, just make your top banner a bit less wide. Your comic isn't that wide, and I hate having to maximize my window. I'm running a 1440x900 monitor but a lot of people use 1024x768 and don't like maximizing... I'd do 800 or 900 pixels wide... but yeah, totally not fail. Pixel art is HARD! And it looks good.

Tales of Legend:

OMG BEOWULF.

That's all I have to say. I'll definately keep an eye on you and see what you produce. You don't need to have your banner say "Updates weekly Saturdays". Just say it updates Saturdays. I'd suggest a slightly larger font size... since it's very narrative driven... I like the simple inking, seems to fit the 'legend' feel. If you wanted to fancy it up, playing with an old paper texture might look neat.

Good luck maintaining a buffer. Once a week isn't too bad. I lost my buffer when I got sick so now my pages tend to be about two hours late. I hope to have my week ahead buffer back by November, though... but I'm updating three times a week in full color. (hides) It's a little harder to do a page quickly like that. Anyway, best of luck! I like it so far. >.>

Anyway, welcome to ComicGenesis (or back to, for Pladough) to the both of you!

Hi,
thanks Metruis!

Good point on the "updates weekly on saturdays" thing, I've changed that. I still have one black and white page to go and then it's all colour as well for me - so I don't think I'll be changing to a three times a week schedule soon^^ as it definitely takes longer.

Oh aye, it does. It was faster when I started, I was just coloring lineart... now it takes sooo long... but that's okay. My job is compatable with my comic. ^_^

Hey, welcome back, AngryJezus, good luck with that! :)

well, i tend to get ahead of myself. hi i'm jake or OTB whichever comes out first namewise
i'm thanking those who posted earlier about approximate banner sizes. this helps me tremendously as i hadn't thought about actually making one. now i have made a "working title" banner all i have to do is finally break through the rig-a-marole that is my computer and actually put it up on the Oddthoughtbubbles page which is at present strangely noire

well, thanks again

Hey, guys. Welcome to ComicGenesis! Samurai, best of luck. I've enjoyed using Comic Genesis's service so far even if I killed my buffer... oops... probably should get that back up now that I'm not sick anymore... definately a good idea to work on it a bit before starting.

And you too, OldSchooler, welcome! Lots of webcomics here, I'm sure you haven't read them all. o.o Best of luck with whatever you end up doing! :D
