Oh, alright.

Skool's out now, and I haven't drawn for months, so I figured I'd doodle up some concept sketches of stuff that's been buzzing 'round my head lately.

The dude in the middle is supposed to be something like a mutant, but he turned out looking more like some random angry football player. Not that I have anything against random angry football players.

Wrinkles are tricky; I need to work on drawing old guys.

I swear to God I was at one time a marginally better artist. T__T I'm regressing!

Anyway, I doodled some cartoon mes inspired by different celebrities:

Based really loosely on this and inspired by this and this guy telling me that my cartoon mes looked like Peter Jackson. BONUS POINTS if you recognize what I was going for before you click any of my links.

Is that a shield, or is Samara's shoulder guard just getting out of control? ;)

Ha ha, yeah, I don't have good references of people holding large shields and sort of improvised the angle.
I've only drawn people actually using shields a small handful of times, and I need the practice :D

Heh, thanks. That interpretation was not my intent, but you're not the first person to say that.

Looks awesome. The ankles and the feet sorta bug me a little, though. I think the calves should be a tad longer. Other than that, it's pretty cool.

Thanks! You actually hit the nail on the head about the calves - the drawing itself takes up most of an 8 1/2"x11" page, and I tried shortening it up when I was finishing up.

I'm glad you matured Birdie :p

I will have to do this tonight, but....I don't know. Me at 17 was just 2 years ago. I doubt I changed by leaps and bounds.

I'm pretty young, yeah, but I have changed a lot in self esteem and stuff, so I figure it's worth doing.
