Gun Baby is a graphic novel set in a far away world in its early jet age. Most technology roughly equates to earth from the 50s to 70s, however there are more exotic sci fi and fantasy elements as well -- Such as more unearthly tech and gadgets, strange creatures, and the existence of magic.



The intent from the beginning was to make the most cinematic story that I could possibly create. This means exhaustive color and background work. I continue to refine my style, and if you read the archives, you'll note a progression in the art, especially in terms of me trying to keep the character designs "on model" or consistent.

At 25 pages, it's still pretty early, but I hope you'll all give it a look.

I really like how your coloring meshes with your linework. Especially the outdoor scenes where the backgrounds have more of a painted look while the figures/machinery are cel shaded. It gives the impression of each panel being a still from an animated movie (it's also something I've wanted to do, but never quite got to do yet).
