Kristy and the Bathtub kittens...
Inquiring minds (OK nosy bastards) want to know:
How did you end up with a bathtub full of kittens?
and
Have you decided which kitty/kittens yer gonna keep?

Cats killed you?!?! I knew that they would steal souls every now and then but I didn't know that they would literally kill you. Ever since this reply, I've kept one eye open at night to make sure my cat hasn't decided to suffocate me while I slept. Darn you Oreo.... If one of us has to die then it wouldn't be me!
J/k'ing, love my cat =)

Cathe's coworker's friend rescued a stray preggers cat, but didn't want the kittens. She kept them in her garage, but the momma cat wasn't taking care of them well so they got sick. She then signed them over to the vet to find homes. Cathe and the coworker took them home to feed them (and when the other girl went out of town, we watched all four). In our bathtub as we have a loft apartment and that's the only room with a door. ^^

Other girl is keeping the male grey kitten (in the center) and they found a home for the adorably fluffy black and white one (with her head in the food.. she's a pig) and we opted to take the tiny runt grey and white one (on the far left) because she was the sickest and wasn't eating at all and everyone thought she was gonna die, but I convinced her to eat and now she sits in my lap and purrs. ^^ Then we decided to keep the black male too so that she'll have a friend to play with and they'll leave the old lady cats alone.

This is tinycat. They all had gotten really bad eye infections and everyone cleared up except for the two grey kitties. There's a chance they'll either heal up or they'll both be blind in one eye.. which almost makes her more endearing. ^^

Black bouncy kitten likes to hop around a lot.. he's gonna be huge when he grows up.

They like napping ontop one another in my lap it's so fucking cute! In fact, that's what they're doing right now!

I want to name them something dorky.. was thinking about naming them after siblings. So far we've gotten Palom and Porom (which is cute ^_^), Luna and Artemis (though I vetoed since they have a kitten together and that weirds me out to name siblings that
), Sokka and Katara (though tiny isn't really very Katara-ish), Chiana and Nerri (Chiana doesn't fit tinycat very well either.. even though they're the right colors), or Simon and River.. which is currently in the lead. If anyone has name suggestions, we'd like to hear!

Congrats on the kitties, Kristy!!
Yes, they're adorable...I've finally decided to take the plunge into kitty ownership in 2008: I have a big house all to myself, so the little guys will get plenty of exercise and I won't be so lonely when I'm home.
Good luck with them.
Dennis
PS: I read your Twitter entry about the "freezing" cold 60 degree weather you had...yes, I'm still giggling about it. E-Man lives in Canada, so I imagine he is, too.
C'mon up and visit me in January/February...you'll enjoy REAL cold.
You know you're really alive when you get to breathe 25- 30 degree below zero weather during a cold snap (and that's without a wind chill).
Anyway...Merry Xmas, Kristy and everyone!

I wasn't saying 60 degrees was cold.. I was saying it was 60 degrees INSIDE MY HOUSE. Indoor temperatures (with heater running) should not be that cold. I think my heat is on the fritz.

My apologies, Kristy...plus I was in a teasing mood, anyway and meant no offense.
Dennis
PS: Since I have the joy of paying high winter heat bills for my big house each year, the inside of my house is usually set at 57-58 degrees. Yeah, it's a tad brisk but I'm actually used to it (Must be my northern Minnesota blood at work). I even have my extra bedrooms closed off and the heat turned off in there and the bills are still nuts.
However, it's only 3-4 months and the bills are more reasonable for the rest of the year. If I have one of my brothers staying over, I open his bedroom and turn on the heat. If he whines about the cold house, I raise the heat a few degrees to a "balmy" 60 or so. Yeah, cold's a fact of life here and we have ways of coping with it. ~Shrugs~

Happy Holidays everyone! The kitties are adorable!
Brrrr..... that all sounds way too cold for me. I'm used to the 70's and 80's and because I've lived in the south for a while even the upper 90's. While I don't mind some cold weather, I wouldn't make in northern states. You can call me a wuss but that doesn't make it any warmer
ps Dennis you're getting a cat too right, gratz and may your new minion serve you well.

Happy holidays to you, too! I hope the new year is a good one for all of us.
Yes, I'm guilty as charged of being a tease when it comes to Southerners and cold weather. I've been known to laugh when that region gets hit with a snow storm consisting of one inch and the area comes to a standstill. We're used to this stuff here.
Anyway, no offense intended. I happen to like the South. I've been to Florida in February/March and it feels nice wearing shorts. Could I live there year round? I dunno...yeah, winter can be a pain in the ass but I'd probably miss the four seasons.
Oh yes, I do plan on getting a couple kitties in 2008 and I'll share my progress with them here.
Happy 2008!
Dennis
