I bet they give Hobbes a lisp.

I was just saying Hollywood needed more CG stuffed tigers.

See the fine print, Cope. :3

Nice

I can't wait to see how many people don't read those first three lines and actually think this is real.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Ah, but Waterson has standards and fights for his creative rights. If it were done, it should be done well.

Not that I think it needs doing, mind.

I saw the fine print and dismissed it!

Come to think of it, Calvin should be CG too.

I just hope this film can live up to the fine standards set by the Garfield movie and its sequel.

Truly. And anyone that has read the 10th Anniversary book would know that this would never fly, especially not with Bill Himself at the helm.

I am so into Amanda Peet playing Clavin's mom.

oh god... the nightmares!!!

I want to start openly praising God that this is fake, but instead I am going to silently knock on wood in hopes that hollywood doesn't read that and go "now hey, there's an idea worth exploiting!"

If they made a Calvin and Hobbes movie, I'd be really upset. They'd just make it gay and I'd have to shoot some one.
I'm glad 90's style forum signatures don't exist anymore.

Shouldnt be done at all, Watterson was very adamant about not commercializing Calvin and Hobbes...

Here's what I always wondered about: What's Hobbes' voice like? Does he sound like a man? Does he sound like a child? Nothing really seems to fit.

When I was a kid and the strip was still being drawn, I knew another kid that woulda been a good voice for Calvin. Mostly because he looked like him and acted like him.

Hobbes should be Matt Frewer.

Yeah, but who would play Calvin in the "grown up" sequence when he's playing "President and First Husband" with Suzy?

It'll never happen. Unless Bill Watterson dies and some stupid legal thing happens. Hopefully legions of fans will try to stop it, though it would fail anyway.

Alvin & The Chipmunks already exceeded expectations in the box office, so expect a sequel.
