Prep for Cookout 2008

seeing as i'm finishing in may and starting my new job in may/june, whether i (and amanda) can make it to the cookout is up in the air. As things get closer and schedules solidify more I will be able to give a better estimate. Would love to come, but if i can't i hope to see everyone CN expo 2008.

They're not dropping out; they're just saying (reasonably) that they don't know what their plans will be like in June 2008, right now.

Bleagh, I think I might have to pass this year. I'm just realizing that dad will have a fit if I go on a ton of airplane trips in the span of 6 months instead of paying off my credit card faster. I already have a trip in January, and I might see a friend in June, only it's much closer and I wouldn't have to take a plane.

At least I got to meet a lot of you guys this past Cookout! And there's always Cookout 2009.

Well, I'm hoping this year that since I actually have a driver's license I can join one of the roadtrips on their way down and back up again, but otherwise my plans for June 2008 are unclear at best.

Just as a quick update -

Vorticus is working on the trip fund page and should be up soon, or I'll ask Michelle to kick him in the shins.

Fadie has asked to do the main cookout page, and I have to get with her to see how that's coming so that we can get things up soon.

Beth's got tons of ideas, which is good because she's the boss this year.

Okay okay. I've been renewed for the year so I'm coming.

I'm also bringing the laptops and cams. Here's what's planned:

CG IRC Term: A Dell CPi laptop that's barely enough to go online. Barely. If I use Linux. I'm using Linux. It'll have a small, cheap webcam (384x288) that'll be marked the IRC CAM.
CG Skype Term: A Dell Insiprion 5160 (which I need to buy a Wifi card for) for Skype, with a decent webcam. It's running WinXP.
RedWolf's Laptop (aka sandra): MINE! It'll also have RedWolfCam on it.
RedWolf's PDA (aka firetiger): This I'll let float around.
A power strip.
