What's the strangest dream you've had lately?

(okay, I admit it... ...I'm bored and can't think of anything to do)

I was so offended by the implausiblity of a dream I was having the other day that I managed to wake myself up. This probably says something damning about my personality.

I had a dream about getting an iMac as a present from my mom for my birthday. In the dream I was coming to all these conclusions about why I needed it so badly and thus it was the perfect gift, and how it was simplifying my life and eliminating all these problems for me.

Then I woke up, realized it was a dream, and THAT IT WAS COMPLETELY FUCKING RIGHT. God was clearly saying to me through a dream "Go buy a fucking iMac you retard". Apparently God swears at me and calls me names while revealing his divine (albeit minorly inconsequential) will to me.

So, I looked up iMac prices online, looked over my financial accounts to see what I had stashed away in savings, considered the resale values of both my PC and Mac mini, then went back to bed cause it was still 5:30AM.

Woke back up, went to the mall, bought my iMac and it was indeed a blessing.

Most recent strange dream - I was at work trying to get a giant black chinchilla out of the bathroom when the fire alarm started going off. I had to run back to my housekeeping cart on the 8th floor to save my hamsters, and when I got back downstairs there were cats eating the chinchilla but it didn't die. It just shrunk. So I sprayed them with water to make them leave the chinchilla alone - but it had already turned into a squirrel, so I threw it away cuz it was broken.

:(

Last Friday, I dreamed I was at a party and that I kept spilling food (specifically hummus) everywhere. Every time I did, I'd be like, "Shit, I'm so sorry" to the host, and she'd be like, "It's okay, don't worry about it." But, you know how some people are so helpless that other people's motherly instincts kick in? Like, so inept it's cute? Yeah, I was the completely helpless one, and she was the one that would've normally cared if I wasn't so pathetically unable to keep food from getting everywhere.

It was funny, because I'd been to a party that night, and I'd been spilling hummus everywhere there too. I cleaned up my own messes though.

Sadly, I very rarely remember my dreams, to the point that I don't even wake up feeling like I'd dreamt.

Not really that weird, but a few days ago I had stayed up late working on a paper and decided to get a few hours of sleep and finish it in the morning and/or at school between classes. So, I dreamed that I had overslept and didn't get up until school was already almost over. I was very relaxed and resigned about it, electing to e-mail my teachers apologizing for my absence and that I would finish my paper that afternoon and e-mail it to the teacher expecting to get a reduced grade due to its tardiness. Then, my alarm went off and I woke up as normal and managed to finish my paper before class.

I think the dream was a manifestation of my basic desire to get to sleep in, skip school, and avoid the stress of rushing even though I actually tend to work pretty efficiently when I'm tired and pressured. But, it was kinda refreshing to get what felt like a second chance at finishing the assignment in time.

Dreamt last night my husband (and action movies stars) were all highly-stuffed doll-like people that felt, to quote my dream self, like "ballet slippers".

It happened even to me.
I dreamt that i rolled a 99 on a d20. My brain somehow couldn't accept that and i woke up due to the subsequent reality check.

I recall having a dream about my old college days back in OKie. Specifically driving the side streets to get there...hmmm.

I taught myself to dream lucidly when I was a young teen, and generally remember, and can interact with, my dreams.

But, they're also either very improbable or quite demented.

The only recent dream I can really remember isn't really odd- a driving nightmare I had the other night.

Somehow I was driving on the freeway but could only see the car from far, far behind it - kind of like in a driving video game. But I couldn't control it, and I ended up veering onto the other side of the freeway with two lands of oncoming traffic headed straight at me, and I was panicking and trying to figure our how to get back over to the correct lane without dying (though I had inexplicably not died yet).

Driving scares me. I'm gonna have to put up with these crappy nightmares for the rest of my life, I know it.

The only dream I remember recently was one where I took my girlfriend swing dancing. Not really a strange dream at all but I haven't been remembering my dreams lately.

I had a dream 2 nights ago where me and Neil Gaiman were trapped in a flooded bath-house, then escaped and crawled up a glass tower and started throwing big leaves of lettuce at elephants, who then trampled a bunch of folks who looked like the characters in the game Clue. :o

And the night before I had a driving nightmare where my mom jumped out of the driver's seat and I had to drive from the passenger seat, except I couldn't reach the brakes and crashed...

The last dream I remember was sometime last week, when I was taking a nap.

I was in the role of some kind of thief/criminal, about to be executed in front of a large, angry crowd. It certainly had that Arabian feel to it. I was going to be beheaded. I was brought out "on stage" (I was behind a curtain, for some reason) and placed in front of the chopping block.

Some priest came to my side, whispering some kind of last rites or something into my ear. I remember begging him, "No no no...please, don't do it...", knowing he was about to do something awful (that wasn't cutting off my head) - I had some vague recollection of doing what he was about to do myself, like if I was redreaming this dream from another perspective.

He then did something which he believed was a merciful act, the act I didn't want him to do...taking a knife and slitting me up my side, it felt almost like a rip-cord. I slumped over, feeling the life drain from me - I knew my blood was draining, but I didn't feel cold. I was paralyzed. But my mind was racing, "no no no, I don't want to die." I felt this weird sense of exhilaration, kinda like when you're about to go over that first hill on a roller coaster. But it wasn't exciting, just this feeling of...inevitability, like I couldn't control it. My mind was the only thing keeping me alive, yet death was rapidly approaching.

Then I startled awake.

Strangely enough, I had one last night that Senshi came to visit me and bought a lot of dried cherries from the supermarket. :o

I had a dream where Senshi and a few other CGers and I were having a picnic! Then Senshi started having a heavy petting session with a member I won't name. See, thats how low my self esteem is, OTHER people score in my dreams.
