Made myself a new avatar because I was bored, although now I can't seem to upload it onto ze forum, since it's 32kb, and the max is 18.

Image

Anyone know any way of lowering the file size without ridiculously lowering the quality? I tried getting my avatar sized version of this under 18kb on photoshop, but the only way I could do it was to save it with an image quality of '1'. And it looked awful.

Because clearly Kirb drawing everyone in Redslime dressed as a pokemon wasn't enough, I had to go and try to make up pokemon based on everyone.

I agree with sin regarding poses, but it does the trick of saying "wham. new fella". I don't like that right foot. it looks two dimensional compared to the rest of him. Or, conversely *rimshot* it could be the left foot looking more three-dimensional than it should for the drawing. At any rate, I'm seeing one foot from the side, and a 3/4 overview of the other. :(

But I digress. Make more of these things and get that project off the ground. I greatly miss your very bizarre and sometimes rather violent sense of humor.

I also want to know if that wacky doctor ever caught that damned woodpecker. Seriously, best strip ever.

I was originally going to disagree with this point, because I thought you were saying something else, but now that I've read it again, I see what you're talking about. I should have put a horizon line in there to get the perspective right, it's a bit low for the foot and higher for the rest of the body, thus the dimensional distortion. I'd say that I probably didn't try that hard on it since it was a pub drawing, but that's not a good excuse for sloppiness.
But I digress. Make more of these things and get that project off the ground. I greatly miss your very bizarre and sometimes rather violent sense of humor.

These, however, I strongly disagree with.

Ok here's more figure drawing stuff...bewbs get a link
This chick is actually a fellow student...I don't care how much they pay I could never pose nude for people I'd have to see everyday who aren't like close friends....

Soft Pastel on Newsprint, spent the whole 3 hours on it

ok here's some skeletons sadly no more models till the end now :(
This one spanned 2 class periods but I doubt I spent 6 hours on I'd say maybe 4(last class I slacked off major so I wouldn't have to move to the other side of the room without my friend)
Image
here's some tiny thumbnails I did, the front view I did halfway through the above picture the back view was where I want to sit on Monday for personal refference

My teacher keeps telling me I'm a naturally gestural artist and he says usually 1 in 10 are(and always follows that up with the fact that he wasn't and had to learn gestural drawing)
I'm loving this class just like I thought I would. :D

I'll say in these pics the images seem to shrink as they go down but that's cause these are photos I take at the very end of class quickly so it's like a downward angle view

First image: Wow, this character looks a little familiar... he looks a lot like a better drawn version of my character. Main difference is in the ears and gloves. But it's still eerie...

Second image: Interesting little imp. It doesn't look like it'll do any harm- but most imps don't. Hopefully it doesn't take from the Dragon Quest imps, as those know powerful spells- if they have enough MP left to cast them.

Good work on both!
