I believe you. I just think you're some sort of alien. I watch like 20 minutes of tv a day and I saw it. The commercials you see depend on what you're watching though.

"Spider Pig... Spider Pig... does whatever a Spider Pig does."

I laughed a lot the first time, and some each time after. But now it's kind of tiring.

Yeah, if it wasn't on during Conan O'Brien or Charlie Rose this summer, chances are I didn't see it.

Ratatouille and Knocked Up.

Can't say any of the big summer action blockbusters did much for me...well except Bourne Supremacy. It was pretty good. Why isn't Julia Stiles in more movies these days? If a Zoology movie was ever made I'd hire Julia to do Shandy's voice.

I've only seen two movies this year... no wait, one of those was last year. Shit, time goes fast.

So I have to vote for "The Lives of Others". It's about a member of the East German Secret Police (Stasi) who starts trying to protect the fellow he's spying on.

I HATE you americans! We in england don't get stardust until October >=(

due to this: I will be forced to vote for Hot Fuzz.... unless pan's Labyrinth came out this year which I think it did in which case I change my vote to that.

Talladega Nights!

Hey, it came out within a calendar year of today. And I like it. So there. Nyah.

Also Harry Potter, 'cause it had Gary Oldman and Alan Rickman in it.

Also DIE HARD 'cause I LOVE BRUCE WILLIS.

Also Bourne for violence!

You can't make me choose.

It didn't pay very well and was probably very boring after a while... Not to mention no windows :P

I'm a huge movie guy, and try to head down to the cinema whenever I can to see a good movie. This year has been full of flops, but also full of awesome movies. The awesome ones though were largely the ones I thought might end up sucking, like Transformers and Die Hard. It's been a good year in general, in my opinion at least.

Transformers was OK - Killer CGI. But the acting wasn't real flash. But hey! Who needs acting when you've got giant robots with big guns?! Not me!

I go to the cinema to be entertained. If good acting is important, and lacking, I'll bitch. But goddam if its a movie which is supposed to be all about the explosions and guns and WEEEEEOOOOWWWW and PHOOOSHHH! and RATATATATATATA well then fuck the acting, bring on the super loud THX

While it's acceptable to let story take a back seat to the visual (to a degree), bad acting is bad acting and it can destroy the illusion, even if it's just meant as mindless fun. But that's just a general statement on film; I have not seen Tansformers yet. I will eventually though.

Exactly - even when all I want is explosions, I still like to believe the story might be slightly possible. There is no excuse for bad acting, no matter what film you're watching.

Apparently 26 is "old" by Hollywood standards these days.
