No matter what I do or what browser I use, I get a notice telling me my browser is broken. *grumbles*

I sure hope that got someone's attention.

Now, I have tried for the past few days to log into siteadmin. I get the pop-up asking for username and password. I enter the username I have for the forums here and my password. I get the following:
Stupid Login Error Message wrote:Username not valid! You must have a ComicGenesis Forum login.
Obviously, I have that since I'm posting here. So what's the deal??

I get the same problem. With either of my accounts I get a reply that my user name is not valid. From my ping, I find I am on the new server. Do we need to re-register on the new server for our accounts? :eyebrow:

I get the same thing...but whatever...the old siteadmin is still working for me, so I won't complain too bitterly.

Okay, weirdness.

I managed to get passed the popup sign in, but now I'm stuck at the original sign in page. The only link, aside from the banner ad, is a log **out** text link. Other than that there's just the username and password form. And whichever username I use it just brings me back to that same page.

I've used the forum username and the comic username. Same thing.

Oi.

At least it's improvement, though. I think. :eyebrow:

Improvement for me, I think. Comic did not update last night. But this morning I went into the new siteadmin (using the instructions given) and set off a manual update, which worked almost immediately.

So it's not updating automatically, but it is updating when told. That's a step in the right direction. :)

One note -- put me down as someone who uses Opera. I had to switch to Firefox to get into siteadmin. No big deal, just add me to the list of people who would like Opera to work someday..

Anyone know what "4053e3ad siteadminlogin session_begin-1 4053e3ad 0 Arraytrying to full login" means? Because that's what I'm getting at the top of the page when I try to get into siteadmin.

That means you're trying to access login.php which does not work. Just go straight to siteadmin.comicgenesis.com

For anyone that missed the post above:

Make triple sure that you are connecting to:

http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com

and not

http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com/login.php?

If you have the login.php on the end it will not work! Change your bookmarks if you have to! Read this post by Kisai for further details on determining the problems...

I'm still getting "Username not valid." And the other ftp program, the one I normally use, hasn't been working for days. The main reason I'm managing to be calm right now is because I have three different places to scream and rant about it.

And I got "Username not valid" just now by clicking on the upper url. So it's not the url that's the problem for me, anyhow.
I am a random creature which flits in from nowhere!

Out of total boredom.

Use the forum username, case sensitive.

I've been logging in using http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com/index.php?&comic_id=(comic_id #). All I've had to is enter my forum name and password and it takes me straight to my comic's main siteadmin page.

Also, as someone mentioned earlier, my comic did not updated automatically, but did so after I went into SiteAdmin and triggered an update.

Yeah, this version of siteadmin's authentication lets you do that. The previous version would have redirected to the login page. You can bookmark the comic's control panel directly if you want.
