try now, chances are your ftp clients were using PASV, and there was an error in the configuration for that.

I can't FTP either. In my case, it's telling me that authenticization failed after entering my password. Edit- it does the same whether I'm using PASV or not.

Sorry to be delivering more bad news. I know the heartbreak that is server migration.

Ditto all of this; getting a 530 error message. (And for non-tech speakers, "PASV" means "passive"; there should be a toggle box somewhere in the FTP controls that lets you turn it off/on.)

I can't log in with my FTP client, and when I try logging in with the site admin, it says my username is invalid, even though I'm using the right one..

Yep...I just get a nice little "login failed" on FTP. However, I do seem to be able to access the new siteadmin.

EDIT: Ah...and I see I've joined the Back In Time Club. My comic seems to believe that it's Saturday, June 30...

Well, I pinged it and I'm getting the proper IP address now, but still not access to the new siteadmin. Can I assume this'll be ready within the next few days since the IP ping wasn't working for me last night?

Alright, things seem to be getting slightly better, with the exception of the FTP not connecting, but the siteadmin is just doing the antilogin loop that was going on a month or so ago.

Maybe it'll be up again soon. Who knows.

Friday's comic may be forfeit...

The last couple of days, everything worked finde. But today my site disappeared (it should be here) and I can't login anyway, though I used the password and username I used before. I can't connect via FTP, either.
That's strange, but I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person who's in trouble today. :)
But I hope it will work again soon, I'm a little afraid now, for I'm new here.

the fTP problem should be gone by now

I'm particularly enthusiastic about the CPU usage stat on the new server, it looks like, but I'm not sure, that half the CPU usage is being already taken up.

We'll find out later if the machine grinds to a halt and have to retune it.

I really don't think this is a DNS problem.

I ping comicgenesis, I get 66.220.2.20 as the address. But when I try going to siteadmin.comicgenesis.com, I get an error -- site not found. I get the same error when I point my browser to 66.220.2.20.

It looks to me as if the machine is pingable but is not accepting HTTP connections.

I can access the old siteadmin. It says there are over 5000 comics in queue ahead of me...but at least I'm apparently in the queue... :/

After wrestling with my home internet connection (and losing), loading the comic that took FAR too long to finish in the first place (another wrestling match, this time with Photoshop, I think it came out a draw... get it? nevermind) into the FTP once it started working again. We've come back to the site that will not load. Ever.

I know there are kinks. But Damn, this year's Friday the 13th kinda sucks so far.

^ It was also Friday the 13th in April. So, this year has twice the bad luck. Hooray. I'm on 66.220.2.20, as well, and I don't know if I have a "back-in-time" problem, because I haven't updated since late June.

And the siteadmin takes me in the neverending loop.

Also, the old siteadmin won't let me trigger an update.

Still not working, I'm using the forum name and password, and I even changed the forum password. Is the forum password the one to be used? Because, if so, it shouldn't be having this problem.

I followed the directions given for accessing the Siteadmin on the Sticky and it still won't let me in either. However it seems I can upload to my FTP now.

I'm able to access the site admin for an old comic that's essentially been abandoned, but the new comic that went up around the 11th disappeared on the 12th, its url gives a 404 error, I can't access it via ftp, and When I log into the new site admin and attempt to add it's login I get the following error message.

bool(false)
Notice: Undefined index: username in /home/space/siteadmin/public_html/index.php on line 143
Finding FTP accounts...
SELECT user_unixname,user_id,user_password from KeenSystem.keen_users where user_id=''
works. Trying password

Is this related to the "comics went back in time" error? Because the comic that disappeared just recently came into existence, so it's possible that if it went back in time, it does not exist in your database anymore.

When I last tried to log in, a window popped up asking for my username and password; I used the one that always got me in, and then it said my username and password weren't valid! Is that another server error or what?
