yeah, my autoupdate went thru last night. I uploaded an update to my archive page and threw a few new images on my index files... everything is on the new code this morning. Something i didn't expect.
so it seems that only the manual update thingeemawhatzit is broken. oh, and all the siteadmin tools.

The sites were up this morning, and were up through at least 8 am this morning, (which is a little later than it was yesterday), because I could check it from work. In fact, I want to say it was up through 8:30, central time. So...well, a little better than yesterday. At least it was up LONGER...

k guys, I've pulled the 'switch DNS over' lever ... now lets see if it works.
What to expect ... kelly ran another sync on the comics but depending on what happens you'll either wind up, up to date, or missing the last two days of comics. The sync takes three entire days.
Autokeen is currently switched off untill I confirm that DNS switched over (on the new server), otherwise you may not be uploading your stuff to the new server and running useless updates that the sync utility then thinks are 'new' and doesn't update.
I'm still having issues with the siteadmin, but other than that the old siteadmin works on the new server...
you know whats amazing. I wrote the both the old and new siteadmins, yet it's the old siteadmin that was more bulletproof. The problem is the old siteadmin is NOT threadsafe, so therefore is incredably dangerous to use to upload files and stuff... in fact so is the perl web ftp on the old siteadmin.
Not much I can do about the new siteadmin till it switches DNS over. once it switches then I can figure out if it's a date/time problem (the new server is running in UTC, not Pacific time) which may mean autokeen may need an adjustment. or it'll be 8 hours behind.

Excellent! It's up and can be seen. Thanks for the update, Kisai! I know it's a pain, but your hard work is appreciated---and letting us know the status so far is DEFINITELY appreciated, as well as giving us an idea what to expect and what may trip us up. ---Al

Is anyone else getting the following error when trying to access SiteAdmin?
Genesis :
Error creating new session
I've noticed that some other comics have managed to update today so I was curious if there was a way to bypass the error to update? I've been getting that message for two days. Just wondering if it's just me or if everyone is getting it.

Problems logging in and updateing.
Hey,
When I try to log into my account in order to update my comic, I get a message that says:
Comicgen:
Error creating new session
I was wondering what was going on and if anyone else has had this problem?

I know this Is a "free" service and I do think CG Is great (when It works), but I do need my comic to be in a stable place, so I´m thinking about moving It to a blog in Wordpress...
What do you guys think? Should I wait a little longer? Is there a way to know how long until the server Is stable again (for SURE)?
And regarding my choice of Wordpress.com, anyone has any tips/suggestions on the best way to do this and/or other/better options?
Thanks!
