1. Titanic
if we can't have that, then
2. Angry.

well, after a bit o' thought, i had an idea..
two suggestions..
1) name it after a character from a comic that got 'spotted since this server was first installed, three comics i can think of off the top of my head, EOI, Darken and Candi..
2) failing that, i'm going with everybody else on calling it "angry"
"when a hero dies, he becomes a legend, that legend, with time, becomes a myth, then a fable, that fable, is then carved in stone, and when that stone crumbles, it is lost" - Takahn.

Gort!
Anyway, we might need to make a proper poll if we get more than one good name with a lot of support. However, I'm not sure Titanic will work since it's not really keeping with the comic theme of our previous servers.
In that case, so far it would seem that Angry might be leading the polls

Well, if we're going to Christen it by smashing a bottle of champagne over it, may I suggest "Conflagration"?

Oc - 1
Claude - 3
Ghastly - 2
Ton - 1
Baker - 1
Brubaker - 6
Aldus - 1
Angry - 8
Tyras - 1
Warlow - 1
Binky - 1
William - 1
ABOL - 3
Lady Sunset Autumn Honey Purity Sunflower Rainbow - 1
Thorpe - 1
Gwydia - 1
Gort - 1

Damn, if we can't name it Titanic (damnit), then I'll vote for Grumpy. Or we could just call it "Burp" in honor of Grumpy.

Well what we can do is take the top choices, up to ten, and stick them in a separate poll. So far 7 on that list have more than one vote, so we could stick with nominating until we get the max of ten and start up a new thread.
How's that sound, as far as making things a bit more organized?

I like Grumpy, but I wonder if it's a little too forum in-joke-y? (Same with Brubaker, actually, which I like almost as much.)

They originate from in-jokes, but they function on their own. I never knew why our server was called Butch, but I never lost sleep over it. Brubaker just has a nice ring to it.

I'm totally seconding this one!
And, being one of the YDK generation here, i'm also liking RPin 's motion of naming it after Ping... or, if not her, her character Jin.

If we use Grumpy and, to an extent, Angry, people will seriously be like, "What the fuck, why are these weirdoes naming their servers after dwarves?"
I like Ugly Girl, ABOL, Jin, M'Lady, and Brubaker.

Everything put in there is going to name in-jokeish, there's no way to avoid that.
I bet a lot of people still don't know why the servers were called Sandy/Butch.

Yes. because it's obscure, and no one will ever be able to pronounce it...
It's about fluff, angst, drama, comedy, gaming. Come play in our world.

See, with Titanic, EVERYONE would understand the reference! Why can't we do this outside of "I just don't wanna"?

I like the comic character tradition. Titanic is pretty funny, but I'd rather pay tribute to one of our webcartoonists than make a joke.
