Now Over the Hedge is taking shots at furries. Today's comic.

So, is this a case of furassment? Discrim-fur-nation? Prej-fur-dice? What's the word I'm thinking of?

The word you're thinking of is Fursectution, and it's a fucking stupid word.

Fursuiters are a minority at furry conventions, but tv would like you to believe otherwise.

Is that the opening number, Nanda?

I can just imagine these poor actors they hire to sing opening lines about how much the desired to release the animal inside.

I didn't realise the movie was based on anything. Interesting that we got an animated movie based on a comic strip. That's a new one.

Wasn't this show written by Andrew Lloyd Webber?

I can't believe it, but perhaps "Cats" actually makes more sense than this shit.

I'd call it irony, given that a lot of people consider any comic with anthropomorphised talking animals 'furry'.

Although if the comic creator actually did receive a photo like that, (which could happen), then I'd kind of understand the response.

I'm trying to turn all of 4chan into furries, but I'm doing it subtly...
I've noticed furry posts seem to have gone up since I started going there...

after reading the SA forum link provided by Neko, it's been brought to my attention that CSI was not the first TV show to make fun of Furries (that and I'm pretty sure the Furry episode of ER was before the CSI one as well. Not totally sure though since I didn't start watching CSI until 2005)

Pointing out that furries are strange isn't <a href="http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Fursecutio ... cution"</a>, in my opinion. Aren't they trying to be unusual? Of course most Internet users only have a vague idea of what furries are. I frequently come across people who think that they all wear fursuits or that they're all obsessed with sex (with animals, sometimes).

Also, Monty Python was around before the fur fandom. I think that sketch was more of a comment on homosexuality and drug use.
