Best Donation Incentives?
Best Donation Incentives?
Okay, we all know we want money.
So... who thinks they have the best way ever? And what is it, if you're so convinced it works?

I've combined public and private incentives, with a side helping of original art sales. The details are still on my front page.
I brought in a fairly large amount of money, though not quite enough to cover my needs (and quite a bit of it is still sitting in my Paypal account because it's been dripping in slowly after the first two or three days).

So basically free Tibetan kitten porn on a stick, with added cowbell, made with love? I don't see how anyone who's not a complete and utter freak would...
Er, Iiiiinternet. Right. I'll get right to it.

Yeah, but all the money was on a stick, and you don't want to know where it had been.

It's another way to gauge demand, and when it comes to trying to do this even semi-professionally... well, income's got to start somewhere, and being able to show potential publishers how much you make just by putting up a comic can convince them a lot faster than saying you've been doing it for yea long with so many hits.Uncaringmachine wrote:Personally I don't think asking for donations is a great idea, but to each his own. I wouldn't ask fans to gimme gimme gimme, because it's you who is giving to them via your comic. Asking for something in return....nah.
