I accidentally dented my dad's girlfriend's Lexus, and I'm pretty sure she's going to have me killed.

2. I have no money, lots of debt, and less pay than usual because I was sick this month.
3. My avatar really sucks, and I can't get the motivation to change it.

Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.

My dad's decided to divorce my mom.

I half think it's my fault.

I propped my guitar up against my desk, turned my back for one second and the thing goes for a dive. It landed before I could catch it and broke the top e-string, which is the only string I don't have five backups of in a box somewhere.

Kinda small I know, but now I have to buy a whole new set of strings, which incidently is why I have five backups of all the other stirngs.

then bitched that she took your car in return (which seems only fair).
See...that would upset me too- My parents were divorced and my father bought me a car when I was 16. It was titled in my name and in my name only. When my mom got sick with cancer, she pressured me to sell my car because I started driving her around in hers. She didn't want to pay the insurance on it... the catch was...I had been paying my insurance myself, but when she got sick, I had to quit my job to take care of her.

It really hurt to have her pressure me into selling a gift that had nothing to do with her.

In your situation, I know you accidentally wrecked her car..but she should have insurance to cover you AND she did give you permission to drive it. Accidents happen.

Secondly...did you have your learner's permit? You should have at least have your learner's permit. If you didn't...that's a "shame on you AND your mother". She should have taken you to go get it since you can't legally drive yourself to go get it.
Thank you for telling your story and relating to my situation. I feel for you as well, knowing how painful it is. I can't even look my mom in the eye, never could, but the accident is not the only reason...

We have no money and insurance didn't cover it.

We had no other vehicle I could practice my driving in, she never let me drive it without her teaching me and we have no money to afford lessons now, I did go to driving school though and for much longer than required. I'm not the type to steal my mom's car without her knowing without a license.

In CT, it's not required to have a learner's permit over the age of 18. I did have one though, but not with me.

Speaking as a child of multiple divorces, it is never, EVER, the childrens' fault.

(hug) It'll be okay, hang in there.

Yeah, that's how the logic works; I just wish I could get it into my head that that's the case.
And thanks to you to.

I bet he tastes like beef jerky. :shifty:

Heh. Well, they don't have to make them so damn complicated. At least I'm not filling out partial residency for two states again...although I'll have to do that again when I move to Wisconsin. Crimeny. The major problem is that grant's don't usually count as a usual salary so much as personal income, so you REALLY get wolloped for taxes since none were actually taken out, and your institution didn't cover any.

However it seems to be different this year. It's very confusing.

Besides....I'M poor. D:

Taxes DO make poverty a bitch, agreed. Shannon and I have no exemptions to claim, either, so we're paying out the nose every year. Which is why I've had to finally cave and put a paypal button up and depend on the generosity of my readers.

I'm very fortunate that they've come through, but I feel like I'm cashing in on karma or something. :-?

no no Sort, see liberals hate paying taxes as well... we grumble about it and finally justify it with the civic duty thing, but we also push the progressive tax curve so those at the bottom (dirty jobless shoeless hippies for example) pay just a little and the Paris Hiltons of the world contribute a signifigant precentage out of their trust fund. Image

I haven't even really started my taxes yet... usually as a student with part time seasonal jobs off and on I only need to fill out a couple lines, but it's still such a pain gleaning which lines to fill out. there has to be an easier way to design all those forms.
