Wow, MV. Hands down your best pinup. You've really improved on coloring! Like, omg. Have you thought about doing a tutorial, cuz not a lot of us know how to do the painted style of coloring.

For photoshop, I have CS2 but I made them in 7 I do believe so they should work in 7

I mainly use the first brush in the set cause I like it best. They are very easy to make brushes but I saved these preset ones so it would be easy to use.

As for the painting I just used a regular round full hardness brush with a 28% opacity and a 35% flow and about 1 tint and 2 to 3 shades plus the regular hue on layers above the flat colors. I do it with a tablet so I get sweet sweet pressure sensitivity. It's pretty basic, you can also smooth it with the smudge tool if you want. Alot of people do it, you could probably find a detailed tutorial on dA.

I may need to re-edit this post once posted, since the order may not be right.

On my last days off I decided to draw what I see on tv. More or less. It started with Futrama, which I first did on paper and then did again in flash, all the subsequent stuff was in flash. I'll mention what something is from, but the order of the images might not be right due to how the forums upload things.

I repeat, for the sake of those who will no doubt skip this paragraph, these are not traces, these are actually my attempts to draw what I see, some of the images were cropped on the TV so I drew the part I could see and tried to use other poses to fill in the blank. Some are from TV some are from DVD.

Disclaimer: Just because I drew it doesn't mean I actually watch or seen all of what it's from. I tend to spend as much time on the face as I do with the rest of the body.

EDIT: looks like the images are going to be in reverse order of when I describe them.

First, Michelle from Futrama (pencil), aka Fry's 20th century girlfriend. First drawn on paper, then redrawn in flash from another pose. The second pose was from the DVD, so it matches the colors.

Then Kim Possible, from my DVD, so the colors match the DVD from the same scene. (This is fhe second scene from the 'a sitch in time')

Next is something that just happened to be playing, so I put it on pause, and used two different poses to get the full body. Personally I think the 'style' of winx club is a little too much on the anime side, but without the superdeformed gags. (Winx is actually imported from Italy) This character I had to go on the website to figure out, but I think she's called Techna.

I don't remember if I drew Atomic Betty before or after the Winx club girl, but I she was cute and shouldn't take too long... I wound up spending more time trying to fix her body cause she doesn't look the right height to me. I eventually gave up and this is as far as I got.

The I put in the Chipmunk adventure DVD (yay 80's) and tried to find a full body shot of Jeanette, but couldn't find one where she wasn't crosseyed or obscured by Britney. So I drew to the top of the skirt and then just kinda gave up and went to sleep.

Then I drew me. Or rather this one image did start out as a trace over a photo of me from the CN Anime Expo, but I then drew over it again and made my eyes bigger and hair shorter, and a different color. Then I tried to add some drawing aspects to it, and this is what I came up with.

And Lastly is a Peach from Super Mario ... or rather from the obscure anime movie also from the same 1980's era. I actually used the youtube clip and tried to work from that, but the clip itself was rather washed out and poorly compressed. So this is as far as I got before I got tired of tweaking. (Missing details on the crown, and the dress is still rough)

With the exception of futurama (cause I did that on a whim), there was not much thought put into picking characters. With the exception of ME, none of this was traced.

This is the prototype logo for a short comic I'll be running on G'nerds2000 soon. I whipped this up on MS Paint just to get an idea of how it'd look, what do you think?

Sometimes it's just time to go back to your roots and do some traditional figure drawings/doodles... I'm also trying to amass work for tutorials one of these days. They're not terribly refined, they were just suppose to be kind of a relaxing exercise. I so needed a break from comicing ;__;

I actually like how sketchy they are, I've never seen your art with that sort of quality before, and it's got a nice effect.

So this is a little computer doodle I did the other day.

I was practicing drawing smiles, something I don,t do all that often.. Except what started off as my first smile kinda devolved into this whole sketchy thing.

Drawn by mouse.
