I had a book-gasm today. I was at the bookstore, and first, I find Risto Isomäki's "Sarsvatin Hiekkaa", an ecological thriller regarded as one of the best new books in Finland.

Well, that probably won't impress most of you, but then, then I hit jackpot. Illuminatus 2 popped up. i cursed the lack of other parts. Or wait, what's that I see? Part 1, it is. And there between the Discworld paperbacks? Part 3? *Squuuuueeaaal*

So yeah, I bought them all, and thus payed the most for books I ever have outside the realm of schoolbooks.

Also, the same store, I recently bought Watchmen, which very thoughtfully had finally been translated to Finnish, 20 years after it's original publishing.

I bought the Illuminatus trilogy for my friend for Christmas many years ago. He never got around to reading it though.

Did you know it costs more to ship a litre of Absinthe to the US than it does to buy the thing in the first place?

At least the quality level of absinthe I was was looking at...

And everybody hates on the anise free Absinthe. Don't get me wrong, I understand the whole "it has to have it or it's not classical absinthe" but If I want to halucinate to licorice I'll lick a dot of acid and eat a twizzler.
