I wondered that too. Most likely she knew that's what they were going to do and agreed to it so she wouldn't actually have to be topless for the shoot.

for the most part, they do look better after retouching, which makes sense since the retouching is purposly supposed to be the ultimate unattainable ideal in women's beauty. but this does help explain how these women all end up checking into clinics for blumeia and anorexia.
