By the way, Kolter...I remembered seeing that at your place, and I've been wanting one, but can't find one anywhere in town...how much was it and where did you get it? (And if it was somewhere in St. Louis, will you give me dierections when I come up for New Years so that I might purchase one?)
The Magic House. Faub was with us.
Ooh, I remember that place!!! I went there with my parents when I was little! It was awesome!

When my son was first born, I was a literal shut-in. I went from being in college classrooms and a dorm, around tons of people all day, every day, to being around no one but a very demanding baby, all day, every day. It was a very difficult adjustment, and I would have spent the entire time in a black, post-partum depression had I not discovered online communities. In a lot of ways, meeting you people helped me stay sane, and I'm not exaggerating.
I am going through that right now with my kid and having the comic to draw and the forums to challenge and entertain me has really kept insanity at bay. It also helps stave off the terrible loneliness that stay-at-home parents often find themselves facing.
I love the ComicGenesis. I'm not drunk. Without ComicGenesis I'd have a thinner skin, much less web design experience, much less humility, etc. I designed websites for a ton of newbs (the Yellow Pages in help) as well as a current Keenspotter (Yay Goblins). I wouldn't have been able to do that at, say, Drunk Duck. And the people and comics I've found are irreplaceable.
