Looks like our little miss taxigirl (is her name Mary?*) is horribly addicted to the yiffyness that surrounds her.... :)

I still love Darlene's hair... :)

(*: ALOT of you won't get it, unless, like me, you grew up listening to late-'70s/early-'80s Aussie music, amongst others...and I'll just leave it at that, for now. ;) )

Hmm, afraid my knowledge of late 70's/early 80's aussie music is not up to the task of identifying the source of your reference.

I also can't think of what the feline equivelent of puppy love would be. Yesh, maybe I'm loosing my Jellicleness!

You, losing your Jellicle nature? Impossible!

The feline equivalent of puppy love is kitten smitten. ^_^

Because of one detail that slipped your mind? Hey, everyone's entitled to one mistake. Doesn't prove a thing.

Calm down, kitty- You'll blow a fuse. :) Here, have some cool water... *offers a clear yello-green glass mug- which matches her eyes perfectly- filled with cold ice water*

As for the song, it never charted the US Top 40 (unlike such Aussie acts like AC/DC, Air Supply, Men At Work, Little River Band, Midnight Oil, Split Enz, Crowded House, INXS, John Paul Young, or Mental As Anything, amongst others- not to mention Olivia Newton-John, mind you), but did appear on one US compilation album of Aussie pop music, circa 1979-1983, and did get some airplay, but in Australia, it was the biggest hit of one of Australia's most successful bands of the time, but still largely unknown on this side of the Pacific. The song is "Taxi Mary" by Jo Jo Zep, about a guy who falls for a taxi (-dancing) girl named Mary. Like I said, most of you wouldn't know the song, unless you're either Aussie, or listened to alot of Aussie music in that time period, much of which was never Top-40 (in the US, anyway). :)

(I'm of the latter.)

*steps back into the shadows, eyes glowing yellow-green*
