Is autokeen down this morning?

Post by Pixiest »

Did anyone else's comic not update this morning? (I mean, assuming you had one queued to go...)

I had one queued but it didn't update. It's still just sitting there in the queue. And yeah, I double checked the date...

Where's the plunger??

Post by Cope »

It's nothing you did; the queue just seems to be stuck.

EDIT: Anyway, just sit tight and don't request any further updates, whatever you do.

Mine updated fine, Pixiest , but someone else reported that they had problems accessing their FTP in the wee hours. I wonder if something is up?

Cope: ya, that's the plan. last time this happened I paniced and kept trying to update and messed with the comic thinking it was corrupted and eventually put it up on livejournal with a link in the shoutbox.

This time I shall chill.

Thanks guys =)

Yeah, there were over 1400 pending in the queue when I updated today.

Give the admins a plunger. Something's stuck in their series of tubes!

the number is up to 1558 now.

i noticed a problem with the background on my newest comic, fixed it, then requested a regular update...thinking that the large number was routine for this time of day.

anyway...it's good to see i'm not the only one having problems.

...oh, and sorry for accidentally clogging it up even more.

Admins have been notified, in the meantime I suggest strawberry jelly and hamsters. Lots of 'em.

HD filled up again where the DB was stored. I've cleaned it up and will rework the DB engine so it will automatically clean up itself.

This is nothing. Why, back in my day, we had autokeen jams that blocked as many as 8000 updates! And we were grateful for it! And we updated uphill both ways!

Seriously, queue's still jammed, but that's understandable just after the Wednesday updates.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Well, it's 2am California time and things still appear to be jammed, or at any event my own comic has not updated. I'm sure everybody's doing the best they can to fix this, and I appreciate that, but I'm still concerned. This is the first time I've completely missed deadline. So here's hoping it clears up before tomorrow's update.

This "jam" It's actually my fault for having updated my comic.
The autokeen just wasn't ready for it.
Sorry.

It hasn't moved from 3788 since 5:30 central time---and it's 8 now. I think it's locked up again.---Al
