Calderon "stole" the election

So Mexico's high court declares Calderon the winner and the leftists are threatening all sorts of things. Is there a group of leftists ANYWHERE that don't start sounding like pouty, (though dangerous) children when they don't get their way?

Reposting what I said on another forum:

Well, it's official now. Felipe Calderón Hinojosa won by 233,093 votes, or a 0.53% margin. He becomes the 2nd consecutive president of the PAN (right-Catholic) after Vicente Fox ousted the PRI (center) who had ruled from 1929-2000, and his administration will be from 2006-2012.

Calderón will officiate our bicentennial independence celebration (1810-2010).

The Electoral Tribunal rejected AMLO's protests of doing a full recount, and only re-counted the ballots where the polls were in CLEAR ambiguity. It's interesting that both AMLO and his party rejected the final results, given that they had 300,000 representatives spread out (1 on each polling station) on July 2, and ALL OF THEM SIGNED THE "SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS" line after the ballots were counted BY HAND IN FRONT OF EVERY PARTY REPRESENTATIVE up to THREE TIMES.

Now, AMLO has refused to recognise the Electoral Tribunal as a legitimate authority (even though they were the ones who validated the 2000 victory that ousted the PRI), he has openly dis-recognised ALL government institutions (oddly enough, that includes his own party) including our Supreme Court, he has refused to recognise the results, the FINAL AND NON-APPEALABLE VERDICT of the Tribunal, and has openly said that he will NEVER recognise Calderón as President.

AMLO will give a speech tonight at 7 CST, which should be right when I get home.

And sadly, there is already an armed SUBVERSIVE group that is willing to back AMLO.

Any leftists that accept Calderón? Maybe President Zapatero of Spain. The international recognitions should be coming in later today, which MIGHT cool AMLO off a bit. If Castro also dis-recognises our election results, Fox just MIGHT do what he should have done 2 years ago and totally break off relations with Cuba.

Sigh.

Pray for peace.

Pray for the confounding of the PRD's and AMLO's evil council.

Pray that his own weapons be turned against him.

Pray that he be exposed for the threat he truly is.

Pray for the safety of everyone down here.

And pray that God will have mercy on this nation.

All the more reason to build that wall....

To keep possible Mexican insurgents from using the U.S. for hit and run terrorist games.

And you can bet that if things truly get hot down there...we will have a flood of illegals coming in.

Time now to get tough on illegal immigration while at the same time making LEGAL immigration easier for EVERYONE, not just Mexicans.

I'd rather amalgamate USA-Mexico-Canada into a one-nation powerhouse that would make the EU and china wet their pants in fear.

But failing that, better border defenses with easier legal immigration seems best.

But anyway, I'll say a prayer for your country, JAM. Lord knows you guys shouldn't have to suffer the indignities of more uprisings and political upheaval because some moron can't GET IT that the majority of people DON'T WANT HIM IN OFFICE.

Sort of like Al Gore and the 2000 election. The ***hole didn't know when to quit... Hell, even KERRY knew that.

I don't think you'd actually find a lot of sympathy for that. Aside from the language barriers with the Anglo and Hispanic communities, a North American Confederation like that'd be insane for the first few years. A lot of Mexicans would move north, drawn by a "free border" and higher-paying jobs, and create a virtual economic crash in parts of Mexico that are already poorer than comparable American and Canadian regions.

...Idly, though, one of my science fiction stories has a nation based on the US government, which controls most of North America (US, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean), Northern and Eastern Europe (Britain, Scandanavia, Poland and Ukraine), Japan and coastal China, and Australia and New Zealand... plus territories on Mars, the Moon, Ceres, and a few others.

Good evening.

Well, Calderón gave his victory speech, President Fox congratulated him, and AMLO has called for a "Democratic Assembly" on the 16th, allegedly for "revolutionizing consciences". I don't know about you, but that sounds like a very nice way to say "brain washing".

The PRD has already stated that they will block the inauguration ceremony on Dec 1 (my birthday, FCOL....)

Lord help us all....

UPDATE:

The Convergencia party, a splinter party that had allied itself with the PRD for the AMLO postulation, has just splintered off from the PRD again and recognised Calderón as the President Elect. HOPEFULLY all their followers will now leave the camps they have on the streets of downtown Mexico City.

President Zapatero of Spain (another leftist) has also recognised Calderón.
The USA, Costa Rica, and Japan have also recognised his victory.

Watch now as AMLO is left all alone.

Why hasn't he been arrested for treason yet? Setting up a paralell government is, you know, unless Mexico's laws are completely different.

He's deliberately toeing the line. He hasn't openly called to arms or established himself as president while demanding support from Congress or the army, nor has he called embassadors to present their credentials to him. Stay tuned, though, he's planning a rally on the 16th.
