Why aren't there more people in the forum?

The brilliance of the strip leaves everyone speechless.

Whenever I read a strip I go catatonic for 24 hours. (Note: This one can only be chosen on the week-end.)

I think the answers are fair.

I'd have to say its more becaues of the long time between updates, with no word. I hadn't checked the comic in months until I decided to check my "on hiatus" comic folder a day or two ago.

Its good to see the comic updating again. I'll pop into the forums on occasion to see if anyone else is around, but some comics just don't generate much discussion amongst the readership. (Scatterplot is another great comic that I really enjoyed, but it also had a rather dead forum)
"All right, it's instinctive. But the instinct can be fought. We're human beings with the blood of a million savage years on our hands. But we can stop it. We can admit that we're killers but we're not going to kill today. That's all it takes-knowing that

I don't check comics or forums (WoW guild aside) on weekends, so I missed the poll. I think Symok is right in saying the lack of word is preventing the regrowth of the forum population after your long hiatus. Surely there are artists, such as those that have linked to you or been involved in cross-overs, that would pass along a shoutout for you.

Besides, the present story line is generating a lot of "huh?" and "maybe the next strip...", and there aren't many willing to try to out-guess you, especially in a public medium.

I've never been too big on promoting Sandwich World, although when I first started out I signed up for all those "Top 100" popularity lists.

If I can keep up a steady update progress, I think I'll also make an effort to promote the strip somehow.

I don't usually look at forums at all, even when I really like the comic, but a friend suggested this strip and its forum to me, so I thought "Why not?" I like the strip, and I like to offer encouragment where it's due.

I think part of the fun of the strip is the element of not really knowing what will happen next. Sometimes it's fun to willingly suspend one's disbelief and just enjoy the fact that anything could happen, however implausible. Unpredictability keeps me coming back for more as the story unfolds.

I don't really have a practical suggestion for boosting forum traffic, but at least you've got one more person through word-of-mouth advertising. Surely that counts for something.

Woohoo!

Actually, I'm intrigued that it was the strip and the forum that was suggested to you. Nevertheless, it's always nice to actually hear from those I entertain (however briefly)!

Personnatly, I'm a lurker, I sometime post in the forum but I never do it when I have nothing interesting to do. This webcomic hasn't a steady pace. The had hiatus and it's by luck that I recently noticed that there was new strips. This doesn't that this forum is doomed. If we give it a little of time and the webcomic don't fall again in a hiatus, we forum should come back to life.

Oui, j'ai choisi la version de starcraft.

S.P.P.

I wonder if he's even heard of that song (I know it well). Maybe if we both sing really loud, he'll hear and come back, at least to get us to stop before we scare off anyone else who visits the forum.
