No, there are a lot of comics about asian college students. The problem is most of the people that draw them know nothing about the culture. So a REALISTIC dipiction of asian college students is definately original.Taiwanimation wrote:There are plenty of comics about college students.... but Asian college students?
Edit: Of course, I should have checked the comic before writing this. I thought I recalled you doing another comic a while back actually set in an asian country or something. Maybe I'm mistaken. -_-

I'm unique, exactly like everybody else.
What indeed? It's a slice-of-life comic. The protagonist is based on the author. It's on hiatus, or updates irregularly. It's not very well drawn. Hm.EvilChihuahua wrote:What makes your comic unique?
Be it characters, story, setting, art, or your particular creative process, what makes your comic stand out from the crowd?
Well, it's the only webcomic I've come across that is about the SCA. In Europe. Or would be if I ever updated.
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.
Oh noes! Read all about the tormented artist I am!

An absolutely unique other identity, at least for comics or superheroes.
Several original ideas in the concepts of the main character and some of her opponents (for instance, Miraclesmith---again, for comics or superheroes.)

Holy crap, neither is mine.cortland wrote:My comic has absolutely nothing to do with: video games, manga, furries, college roommates, superheroes, or Tolkein-esque/D&D/RPG-style fantasy.
Unless Frog counts as a furry.
Then again, sex-related topics are pretty common too, so that counts me out.
FANSERVICE! It's cliche but oh so loved.
Yeah I'm not making any sense today. Off I go...

Is it unique or is it merely pointless?
Unique elements of Out There:
1) Virtually no pop culture references whatsoever.
2) No manga/anime influence; in fact, no discernible influence of any comic style that's been popular in the last 20 or so years.
3) Absolutely no element of fantasy (well, other than the fact that the comic is entirely a work of fiction).
4) No violence; in fact, very little action. The events depicted are generally nondescript and commonplace.
5) No breaching of fourth wall.
Wow. That sounds pretty boring.
Doesn't have this, doesn't have that; okay, RC—what does your comic have?
Uh, little black and white drawings. Panels. Word balloons.
Two more somewhat unique features: five panels, a six-days-a-week update schedule.
There are probably some other unique things about it, but I can't think of any more right now.

not a whole lot of successful lego comics out there, that's fairly unique.
