My Webcomic Won't Update

Post by Roxy »

I have tried to update my page by uploading new dailytemplate.html and indextemplate.html files through Smart FTP. Other pages, such as my "about me" page, have uploaded and updated successfully. But no matter how many times I try to upload my new indextemplate and dailytemplate files, they don't come up and my page does not change. The problem has only gotten worse. I have tried to upload a new strip to my webcomic, and it doesn't appear!
Any help would be a Godsend right now, this forum is my last resort!

XOXOXO,
Roxanne

Just checking; you do know that your indextemplate and dailytemplate files go straight into /workspace, not /workspace/webpages, right? Aslo, what's the exact filename of the comic you're trying to upload, and what's your update offset? (you can check the latter in siteadmin in the "Your Comic" Comic data section)

You are not alone Roxy.
My new comics are not uploading.
They are labeled "20060626.jpg" for example and on the day indicated they do move from the comics section in workplace to the comic section in the public folder but they do not appear on the site.

Even a website like webcomiclist.com knows my comic updated and posts me like the website has updated has but for some reason it still has no new comic.

Please help us.
It would be greatness

Roxy: cope is right. You actually have a page which URL is http://wonderflu.comicgenesis.com/indextemplate.html . You shouldn't. Upload indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html in workspace, not workspace/webpages.

True Groove: two things you should do. 1) Check that you have indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html in the workspace directory. 2) Check that both indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html have the ***todays_comics*** tag on them. (ETA: and always include a link to your site when asking for help.)

Thanks so much for the replies ^_^! I moved my indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html files into ONLY workspace, not workspace/webpages.
My comic just updated!!! I'm currently bouncing for joy ^^! Thank you, Oualawouzou and Cope for saving Wonderflu ^___^!!!
