I can't argue with the plot device part in movies(can't think of one, except where it was used as comedy), but I can counter with at least two video games.

Postal 2 and Duke Nukem 3D. Though the former never really uses a bathroom, per se, he just pisses. The latter takes a leak at urinals and comodes to restor health.

Oh, and there was the 2nd level boss...

Well, maybe the "no-bladder issue" isn't just in fiction. I saw a "reality show" type endurance contest where the constestants stood on wood pillars sticking out of a lake. The one who lasted the longest got "immunity" from being eliminated/voted off. They stood on those logs for, like, 12 hours trying to win the damn thing. And none of the people who quit seemed frantic to find a restroom / private spot in the woods.

there's an area where you wander into Ms. Pacman's home. Through one of the doors is Pacman Jr sitting on a toilet. Weird part is, when you're just outside the door, your miniature guide in the corner encourages you to open the door and see what's inside.

In games, toilet has come a new part of enemy AI in sneaking games, and is usually applauded in gaming media for realism. Bleh, at some weird game-develepors panel thingy I read about, some develepor (DEVELEPORS DEVELEPORS DEVELEPORS!) stated that you know the immersion has gone too far when the characters need to use the toilet ingame.

No, immersion has gone too far when each character has certain diseases that prevent them from aiming at you as well... maybe they'll throw in things like Parkinson's for good measure.

Maybe because they are not SHOWN doing it. It's like, I say none of my teachers at school use the bathroom because I never see them sitting on the toilet and relieving themselves right in front of me.

In either "Crusader: No Remorse" or "Crusader: No Regret" there are levels where you can go into restrooms to shoot the fixtures, and occasionally there are employees of the evil corporation sitting on the toilets.

In "The Sims" and "The Sims 2," the Sims have to go to the bathroom fairly regularly, unless you have certain downloadable hacked items.

FWIW, I voted for the pink hair having the penis.

as it'generally there's only one hour of footage shown, i presume that they:

a) Went befor ethey got on the logs
and
b) just cut the part where someone unzipped to get things done. probably putting them back up to prat fall back off if they initially fell while toileting.

You'd have to be gay not to be able to tell (watch ghastly changes it just lol to make me look like a dumb ass now).

They actually have streaming samples of each song on the CD Baby site, and there's currently a sample of a complete song (lo-fi though) up on the band's section of the site.

I stand behind my oringal thoughts on ghastly after reading this. He has been nothing but polite, and helpful.

Soldier of Fortune 1 made a point of people using the bathroom. Wasn't particularly tasteful (if you destroy that turd in the african toilet the protagonist makes a cheesy comment), but there once was a time where these things didn't happen, yes. Jet Set Willy was first I think, though that only showed a toilet for the first time. It wasn't till later that they started using the toilets.
A russian site started documenting appearances of toilets in games and soon the idea was copied. Then people got bored and...wandered off as they are wont to do.

I voted for pink hair having the schlong (is that how you Americans say it?).
