How late is your comic

Post by Game Misconduct »

Topic says it all. I finally finished and uploaded today's strip near 5 PM central time. Mines were beyond the update deadline for the past two months.

Let's hope Merc doesn't see this thread. :D

My comic is over a week late, but it's on hiatus now, so oh well. I'll worry about its schedule some other time.

Considering I have no life with comics, I have a buffer up until June...

As for late? Given the time change and Daylight Savings... I was three hours early last night, go figure.

I've had a couple bad days. You WOULD post this thread on a day I was 15 hours late and not a day I was only one hour late or an hour early... Jerk.

Hmm...that depends on which comic you're talking about. I update Distant Eras on time just about every single time (fogot once what day it was, but that's all so far) but RotD is ALWAYS late. And you can blame that on Jim. I draw the strip as soon as he gives me scripts...but he doesn't often give me scripts. I almost forgot I was doing 2 webcomics! Darn him! (Okay, enough nagging for now!)

*Shrug*...

...as far as I'm concerned as long as I get it up by 11:59 tonight it's on time.

Where's the never option? I guess I'll choose a few minutes due to server lag, but I, like Kris, am done into June.

Does it still count as late if you're not sure you're going back to it?

Hopefully with my system I will never have a late comic. I try to have a buffer to the end of the (very short) chapter. I never promised anything about when the next chapter would start. But so far I have kept to breaks of less than a week.

This is, of course, because I have no life and I am an idealistic newbie.

I've managed to update pretty much on time for nearly three years, apart from occasional site problems. I almost had a late update over the weekend, though, when the power went out just as I was finishing up the Sunday strip, but it came back on in time for me to update.

Buffered!

Post by Fading Aura »

I'm in the same club as KrisX and Ecushion - I have comics drawn and uploaded a bit into June. I'm hoping to get the buffer a bit larger than that before the cookout so I can slack off before, during and after. ;)

I'm managing to just stay on top of things right now...doubt that will last long, though.

Where's the "not late" option?

I'm with KrisX...buffered up to mid June, loaded and ready to go. Haven't missed an since February.

I've been finishing my pages up to 2 days early recently. Once, way in the distant past, I had a 3 week buffer. I've recently missed an update by 24 hours because I completely changed the text of the page two days before posting and there was no way I could finish the page before it was due.
