Old, slightly confused guy thought German marks were worthless with the introduction of the Euro.

Flushed tens of thousands of them down his toilet.

Denial is not falsification. You can't avoid a fact just because you don't like it.

I feel more sorry for the poor bank teller who has to sort out the old, now soggy with sewage water, marks.

I feel so whipped sometimes...

I'd call it dirty money, but I don't want to have to get out my penance whip.

At least he didn't drop them in the fireplace, if he had he never would have known they were worth something.

Oh dear. The moral of the story is: If you have old used banknotes lying around, don't flush them down the toilet, call Prettydragoon's Currency Disposal Service! We will dispose of your worthless money for a very modest handling fee.
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.

This guy had a total of 60.000 marks and 14.000 euros stashed in his house; I know some people do not have an high opinion of banks, yet they would have been... handy in this case.
Where did he hide the money, however? In the mattress? Coffe jar?
It amazes me how irrational can people be sometimes.

However, what amazed me most is the honesty of those plumbers who didn't simply pocket the "dirty money": it would have been a sort of poetic compensation for their work.
