Thread for Fat People who just don't give a damn

Post by Nanda »

No offense guys, I love you all (seriously, I have no beef with anyone on CG, and I intend it to stay that way) but in light of all the "counting calories/cutting out junk food" threads that are popping up left and right, I felt the need for a safe haven for those of us who just don't give a shit. For anyone who'd bored with all the dieting, calorie counting, negative body image, impossible standard of beauty propaganda, this thread's for you. Not that I begrudge people the right to try to stay fit and healthy - really, it's a noble aspiration - but I think that our country is far too focused on "correcting" our imperfections rather than learning to love ourselves and one another. Personally, I'm overweight. For years I struggled with this, guilting, beating myself up, crash dieting...failure after failure lowering my self esteem by leaps and bounds. And then one day, I realized how ridiculous and pointless it all was, made friends in the BBW (Big Beautiful Women) community, swore off dieting forever and became the MILF I am today. I've never been happier with my own self-image. And if I want a cheeseburger, god damn it, I'm going to eat a cheeseburger. And then I'll have fries. And skinny boys will still think I'm hot stuff.

i kinda concur with merc, well i kinda do care about my eating habits, but it's more from a perspective of enjoying quality foods. Yeah, i avoid most junk food and fast food, but mostly cause i don't like it. I believe if you're going to eat stuff that's bad for you, let it at least be natural, real butter for example, lots of salt, nice greasy meats... mmmm.... i've never counted calories, luckily a lot of foods i really like are good for you. Heck, dark choclate is good for your heart!

Ditto here.

My family genes suck. Their eating habits aren't much better. Neither are mine. I quit caring a LONG time ago. I'm still pretty skinny...or at least, skinny looking (I think I inherited my mother's ability to keep fat evenly distributed, because neither of us look like our weights).

I can identify with Nanda. While not terribly overweight, I've always been a curvaceous lass and struggled with my body image for many years. Then a few years ago I just got tired of stuggling. I'm a girl who loves to self-indulge, and the richer the food the better. My new attitude has brought me no shortage of male attention and my now boyfriend absolutely loves my body the way it is (I know it's the truth- I've seen his pornography). The funny thing is, I've basically stayed the same weight since I've given up dieting (the most I ever lost before was about 20lbs, to be swiftly put back on again). The bottom line is I'm enjoying life now.

Also, my boobs are spectacular, something else I would've surely lost with too much dieting.

I don't care about being fat, but I care a ton about being FIT. I weigh (at last count) 235, but I run regularly and stay in good condition.
What pisses me off is when someone is so out of condition that they get winded and sweaty from walking across campus to class. I've been walking behind people who have to sit down and rest because they were so bad.
And then they get scooters at the grocery store.

Aw, we're not all concerned like that! I posted in that latest thread deliberately cos I had two meals of rissoles and frozen chips! I plan on posting in there today after eating a load of Easter chocolate.

Bugger the calories! I'm looking to pile on three more kilos still!

Must say though, since I actively started working on putting on the weight I've felt much...better...physically. Not really in well-being and so forth...just felt...right.

And I've seen a photo of you Nanda. Over weight, maybe. Regular looking sort of seen-down-the-street kind of person, yeah.

I just eat whatever I want. I get punished (by my stomach) for eating stuff that's bad too much... Like ... McDonalds.

Much prefer Arbys for "bad" fast food, 1.79 each on mondays

Though I actually prefer Subway when wanting faster food.

Let's see what other silly stuff do I eat...

Taqitos... Started eating these when I was at CJ's.
Kraft Mac and Cheese (Cause my mum bought an extra case of it for me when I said I already had a case of it... I still have a case of it in the cupboard)
Sun rype fruit/fruit&veggie things, basically individually wrapped fruit leather that tastes good as opposed to those crappy fruit roll ups that are nothing but sugar (and taste like plastic.)
SunRype Orange or Rasberry juice
Microwave Potatos+cheese
Saltines(+cheese)
Any variety of cheese cracker (including goldfish crackers, but they are usually expensive.)
Doritos or Nacho-cheese chips (no name brand)
Pringles or Lays (Salt and Vinigar or BBQ or Cheese)
Kellogs Rice Krispies
Kellogs Nutrigrain bars
Bread (any non-white bread)

Sometimes I buy the cupcakes or cookies from the bakery when they are discounted, but I don't make a habbit of it.

There are only two patterns to what I eat right now, it's either SunRype (Local BC brand) healthy stuff, or it's something I can put cheese on. ^^;

The exception is the cereal stuff, where the Nutrigrain bars actually remind me of the Newton cookies, which I like.

That pretty much covers everything I've bought in the last 4 months.

Never ever counted calories or anything resembling a diet. The biggest difference I -think- between my eating habbits and some people who are overweight is in portion/frequency. If I get fast food, I just get what I ordered (2-4 samwiches) and skip the fries and soda. This at most is something I might buy once a week. The rest of the week might be 4 taquitos, 4 sunripe fruit things, 1 nutrigrain bar and 1L of fruit juice per day with maybe the occasional thing of nachos. The alternate is I'll make the entire KD box and instead of the taquitos, or I'll have the potato and 2 taquitos.

I have frozen veggies in the freezer... the problem is that they are in the freezer and I never remember about them.

In my defense, the last thread wasn't meant to make people be concerned about their body image (at least not in my intentions), it was to identify the foods people eat.

Heck people can be just the size they want and they're pwetty to me, but my concerns lie within ze working organs. If you are bigger or smaller what really counts is your health in matters of eating. EVERYONE, every size, has that problem (or watches for it). Eating right is more or less a matter of health risks, heart problem, and more over enjoying the right foods. That's the real thing to worry about.

Overall, if your happy with you image and healthy doing it. Yay and sexy. :shucks:

PS- Love me some Nanda! :D

I maintain my personal stance:

If you are so fat that you have to use a wheelchair to get around, you are too fat.

Oh and, diabetes is bad and makes you into an amputee. But that doesn't necessarily have to do with your weight.

I like cheese too, Kisai. :D
