The Gods Must Be Crazy

There's this one scene where the guy gets his truck stuck up in a tree. Comic GOLD.

But seriously, I love this movie.[/url]

It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World

One of the earliest movies I remember watching, and probably the most watched ever - the tape hardly works now. And also, aside from Jurrasic Park, the one I most reenacted with my toys. The final fireengine scene is the best movie climax ever.

EDIT: When I was 13 I also made a boardgame based on it.

And this is why I don't like the "just one item" questions, there's so many options that a distictive pick is impossible. This is why I go by the philosophy that my favorite movie is the movie off my favorite movies list that I've seen the most recently.

I'd say the Matrix for me, though I'm not sure whether I would pick Matrix Reloaded above it...

It's a VERY tough call, but I think I'm gonna hafta go with Touch of Evil. I'm such a sucker for the genre, and this is the best film noir gets. Though I feel bad leaving out Shawshank Redemption, Snatch, Shaolin Soccer and American Pop.

At this point, it's one of those movies (well, it and the sequel) that you laugh at, but in a kind of nervous manner, because it seems like you ought to regard it as terribly politically incorrect. ;)

*Edit* I suppose I should try to be sorta-on-topic. It's a terribly hard decision, but I think I shall have to say "Amélie" ... although my "favourite movie" tends to change from year to year or even more frequently, as I broaden my horizons.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Amelie and Fried Green Tomatoes coming in tied for second. Hedwig and the Angry Inch also gets an honorable mention for best musical.

Narnia. Hands down, best movie ever. Light, inspiring fluff perfectly capable of standing on its own merits.

Second runners up would be Mixed Nuts and The Sting.

Great movie. Not the absolute best ever, but definitely in my top three. :D
Along with the Star Wars trilogy and 'Serenity'.

It's fun to count trilogies as one, you get more for your choice then.

I'll go for Back to the Furture. I love that movie. If I could go back in time, I'd go back and invent webcomics. THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA FOR A COMICS!
