Jeez, she was as bad as Navi from Zelda. I watched the entire series just waiting for Heero to shoot the girl and put us all out of our misery.
Sounds like Minmei from Macross. Even when I was a kid, I wanted someone to park a veritech in front of that helium-voiced bimbo and hit the afterburner.
I think it's a rule. Every anime has to have at least one utterly worthless but cute girl, so that the geeky fanboys won't be scared away by the one girl in the show with a bit of backbone.
I think Cowboy Bebop and Lupin III are the only anime i really like.
While in comic form (manga) i love Ghost in the Shell, Gun Smith Cats, Video Girl Ai and the almost unknown Geobreeders.
If the animation is good, the style matters little to me: what i care about is the plot and the characters.
I think the only anime i really can't watch 'cause i loathe the artwork is One Piece.
Trigun by far. It's just the right mix of sweet and salty for me, with great characters and (for the most part) good pacing. Plus, it has many good memories from undergrad associated with it. Next up would be Read or Die and Cowboy Bebop.
Does anybody here know the one anime where they had the ladies with guns who hid bullets in their boobs and then the bullets would fly out when they needed to reload? I saw it in an AMV, but I couldn't figure out the title. I betcha the makers of "trigun" had a hand in this one.

Wow. You're old too, eh?
I can only wish ^_^ The benefit of growing up in Nigeria was that we got lots of weird cable channels from countries around the world ^_^ But that was only when we had electricity
