stupid swine flu.

the cases in the US aren't fatal (so far), and my dad--who, as a retired Army officer, is contracted to work with them in the event of a flu pandemic--says that the ways to protect yourself from it are: cook pork properly (it's otherwise fine), wash your hands, don't travel too much (across borders, I figure--I'm personally assuming that it's safe to see my friends in the Douglasville area), and if you get sick (with anything) STAY HOME--or go to the hospital if it's something serious--until you feel better.

I'm still worried, tho.

Due to extenuating circumstances (really really bad stuff that I don't want to get into here), Shrew has been postponed. We're instead doing three one-acts. One of them, I have the lead in. Two of the others, I'm assistant-directing. Holy crap. I was NOT expecting that phonecall today. =P

a case of the swine flu has been found in Georgia--near where my friends are.

and I went to the audiologist yesterday to get my ears checked and the chart says that I've lost hearing. joy.

my jaw hurts. and the allergist says that having only an allergy to oak trees isn't worth getting allergy shots. well, damn it, I think it is!
