I really really really really wish that I had some earplugs tonight. I foresee not being able to sleep for the next week (hopefully I'll remember to buy some)...I know I won't be able to sleep tonight (no offense Jonnie, but y'all are really loud), which sucks since I skipped out on a party that I really wanted to go to because I was so tired. It's gonna be a tiring week anyway, between work and rehearsals (we're gonna have to work long and HARD the next two weeks).

I am so grateful for the people in my life that I can complain to, but I wonder if I complain to them too much. I hope not.

Alvin (the dog) needs a crate. I'm tired of him being hauled into my room at seven in the morning because he doesn't make up his mind about being up on the bed or down on the floor for at least an hour if not longer than that. *yawn*

I saw a picture of the most sickeningly malnourished little child I've ever seen. I nearly burst into tears.

I have a couple things that could go in here, but you know what? I'm not gonna mention them for once.

The world doesn't seem to be enjoying Dollhouse. Poor heathens who don't understand Joss Whedon's work...

I'm sick of drama and of people getting overly defensive instead of apologizing and rectifying the mistake(s) that they made that caused the drama in question.

I'm sick of the attitude a co-worker has. She acts like I'm still new, basically...keeps trying to 'train' me in everything that I already know, and have known for months (actually, the assistant manager wants the manager to take the 3rd key away from said co-worker and give it to me instead...heehee). Usually, I just go along with her antics because it makes her feel better about herself (she really does think she's helping out), and she's so fragile that if I were to say anything to her, she'd take it personally, get defensive, and the whole thing would be blown way out of proportion...but yesterday I just kinda bit at her when she did it.

I'd taken it upon myself to rearrange the store...bad idea on a Saturday, I know. But I had allergies, and was dripping snot and coughing on all the customers. So it seemed like an appropriate time to do it (Actually, it started with the watches...Marty wanted me to do some rearranging and switching in that case the day before, and it took long enough that I was still finishing it yesterday afternoon). While I was in the middle of the gold, Marty (he's the manager) brings over the case set-up guidelines book (I was cheating, and arranging things my own way). So we talk it over and decide that I'd just temporarily rearrange, and in a few days (I have today off) I'd do the job differently anyway, more in accordance with the book. And that was that...no big deal, right?

Well, Marty leaves and Chandra comes over and tries to 'help' me again, this time by warning me that Deanna would go behind me and rearrange all my stuff...she always did it to her, after all. (I didn't mention at this point that Deanna isn't the only one who rearranges after she puts stuff out...the other day after Chandra opened, the gemstone case looked like a bomb had gone off in it.) I tried to tell her that it's okay, I know what I'm doing, etc, and that I know Deanna's good at decorating; she's been doing it for a long time...but that so have I, and I'm good at it too!

I shouldn'tve, but I did actually say that Deanna doesn't usually trail behind me and rearrange after I've done it...my way of rearranging stuff usually looks good, after all (I didn't say that last part, though...just thought it). And of course Chandra gets all defensive and snippy...I know I was being a bit patronizing to her, but she deserved it...if she'd have dropped it the first time I told her that I knew what I was doing and it didn't matter either way, because it was all being DONE OVER in a few days time anyway, then I wouldn'tve acted like that.

She's not the only one that treats me like that, though. One other girl does it too. My thoughts on the matter are that they're threatened by me...which is completely ridiculous. Neither one of them even likes sales...and I love this job; I love the stones, and the mind-games of selling to people. I'm generally a fast learner, and I (usually) am pretty much a perfectionist in the way I do things, so I usually do succeed in things. But...every time I have a really good day saleswise I always kinda feel like the two of them are out to get me. They seem to like me a little better on days like yesterday (all I've gotten customer-wise for a week now is jewelry-cleanings and non-chargeable repairs, and both of them got good customers right away yesterday and more than made their sales goal while I was still at $0).

...Kinda funny in Sam's case, though. Even though she acts like that too, she also has been asking me for help with her diamontology lately (I haven't even started mine yet, but I can usually tell her the answers without having to look them up).

Anyway, I know it's not my problem; it's theirs...and usually I can deal with it just fine and dandy. I'm calm about it right now, actually. Just relaying the story from yesterday when it was bothering me.
