The Move: The Discussion

Post by Zhongda »

Any comics I left out of the archives that I should have moved?

How do you feel?

Do you think that I am so awesome that you wish you had a hot sister that I would totally marry? [/plagarizedjoke]

Discuss.

I don't like the new name. "Somewhere I Belong" was stirring and thought provoking. "The Robot is Sad" is just pointless. Also, this Webcomic Nation site is a mess, whereas your CG one was pretty nifty.

Eh, both are temporary holdings.

Although I have moved, both sites will still receive the same updates!

WCN, yeah it's a mess with all those ads... good thing my Firefox blocks that stuff! Unfortunately, my CG will no longer receive my witty banter?

However, despite the move, both sites are considered lower tier to my planned move to a webhost in late July/early August!

In regards to the name change, although it would have been nice to keep "Somewhere I Belong", the name change was done for security purposes! After all, my main goal in the end is to be published in my uni's paper and receive as little backlash as possible in comparison to some of the crap that passes off as a comic. Even though Linkin Park is a pretty cool band, it is popular to not like them for some reason!

"The Robot is Sad," that is actually going to be reflected in a future comic, a-a-a-a--and I guess it will all make sense when it comes up?

All very good reasons. I had forgotten that you were grabbing your own webspace. And hey, those comics are better than the ones in my school, which sometimes are barely comics at all.

Ah, backlash. Does this mean we won't be seeing any more of your heathenistic, wrist-slashing ways?

The wrist-slashing won't give me backlash, but it will get me some heat for not keeping things clean!

Fortunately, I am making moves to recreate characters in a much more friendlier fashion. By friendlier I mean more awesome?

By "more awesome", I can only assume you mean "more naked". That's the only way things can be awesome in my mind. Naked... or covered in chocolate syrup.

So I have [somewhere i belong] in my links page. Should I change it to this newest site, just leave it and just wait until you're own your own webspace?

Much like driving in traffic, waiting is the best option!

For all intents and purposes, I think I will setup my new webspace sometime next week.

Probably give it two or three days afterwards until I make it all nice and pretty.

????

And then profit!

For now, I guess I will be having two clone sites up at the same time?

More clones = bigger clone orgies.

So are you going to get a new forum for your new webspace?

P-Probably so!

Right now I am looking at LunarPages or HostMonster as a host, and they offer a forum, so I figure there is nothing to lose?

Can't you just host the forum on your webspace server itself?

I could probably do that on whatever webspace, but I'll see what kinky (pause) stuff I can do with the boards I'm given by the webhosts I'm looking at.
