Now that I can play Pac-Man Arrangement whenever and wherever I want, I thought I'd catalog a few somewhat useful/useless facts about Pac-Man Arrangement. Mainly the point value of the bonus fruits and the different stages. Oh and I beat the game and yes it does have that neat-o end message about someone's always being chased by monsters.
So anyway, there are five rounds with four mazes in each. There's also a round zero that you start in with only two rounds. Including the boss round, that means that there are 23 stages in all. Most of the rounds have two different bonus fruits, two of the same for the first two mazes and two same ones for the last two mazes in the round. So they repeat twice. Except the first round has two different bonus fruits and round one has three bonus fruits. The third fruit starts the double repeat cycle that the rest of the stages follow.
I named the different rounds myself, so they're my names, not Namco's official names or anything. Not like Namco has any official names for them I think. But Round Zero made me think of Pac-Mania's Block Town, so that's why I named it that. And I named Round 1 Pac-Man's Park because it has the same maze as the original Pac-Man, and so does Pac-Man's Park in Pac-Mania. Plus the neon blue borders in Round One made me think of Pac-Man's old stomping grounds

Alright so here's MY review of Pac-Man Collection. I was debating and debating ALL week long wheater or not I'd get a GBA and Pac-Man when I got my check this weekend. Well my girlfriend has been offering to get me a GBA but I told her not to, brcause.. well.. she makes minimum wage So me and Maximillion are at the mall and Gamedump.com is sold out. So I'm like Kaybee had some!! I went there and sho'nuff that had only the pinku one!! I was like "hmm.. lemme think about this ONE last minute" So we went to the DVD place and Max drooled over Castlevania and asked (thinking they'd say no) if they had any non-pinku GBA's and they did!! So I said.. Max, my fate is in your hands.. buy yours, and I'll buy mine.. so he did.. and I did.. and I got Pac-Man of course.
Pac-Man Collection is near perfect. First of all Pac-Man, like Klonoa said.. is perfect.. only the arcade machine would be a better way to play this game. Pac-Mania is.. perfect, and I did not notice any problems with the music either (?) And I REALLY tried listening for it.. hurmmm.. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I hate dying when I have red pill power ;_; Pac-Man Arrangement is perfect.. well there's no 2 player mode but that's not a HUGE loss in my eyes.. as I got the game for solo enjoyment anyways. Now As I've said that all these games are perfect.. why is the whole collection NOT? Simple.. there is this game there.. this horrible nasty blemish of garbage.. called Pac-Attack. The game sucks. It shouldn't be here. I wouldn't even WANT another game in it's place. If it was just Pac-Man, Pac-Mania, and Arrangement, it would be perfect. This game sucks that bad. Oh wait.. no no no.. I know this is a monor gripe but it hurts me sorely. I wish this game woulda had a battery in it. I'm a score whore and I like to show off (Robbie, remember my Pac-Mania table in Namco Museum 5 wahahaha!!)
Yeah it's a pretty lame review but I though I'd just say that the game rules everything. Hell there's no other games I really want for the system. I paid $100 + $30 just to play some Pac-Man.. I'm a crack fiend.
Dragon Warrior 1+2 got repurchased as I missed it.. and next week DRAGON WARRIOR 3!! The Gameboy Color game better than all Advance games on the market (minus Pac-Man of course)
I'm tired.. (:

I finally got this game and it fucking rules! I really only have 3 possible complaints on this game, otherwise it's the best game on the GBA, yet.
1) Pac-Attack. It sucks, shoulda' had super Pac-man or Pac-land.
2) The scores don't save.
3) Cary's right, the music in Pac-mania is messed up (amazed Leroy didn't notice this since Pac-mania is supposedly one of his favorite Pac-games, plus he's such a stickler for details). The songs on the first two levels of Pac-mania was cut in half, with the big downbeat part taken out (noticed this right off the bat while playing), and there's barely a third of the original music in the Pac-man's Park level playing, it seems to loop almost right after it starts seemly. The music in Pac-man's Park feels like a broken record to me cause it even cuts out for a second before looping. Oh well, guess nothings perfect.
------------------
