So I think your attack is 1d20 + 5
Narf would have to do the other modifiers in the AC comparison.
If my effect succeeds you'll be at +6

Looks ok, but I've got a different new anti-depressant and my brain is still adjusting.

Tom, at-wills are better than basic attacks and you don't run out of them.

Well, I think I just found the source of the GM's block.
...I have no idea how to run a mass battle like this.

Just start with the one guy we're all jumping and bring in a couple more based on how many we can handle.
Doesn't the new book have something like CR or HD to tell you how many mooks to send against a second level party?
Oh wait, we only have three people, that'll mess up the book's numbers.

They simplified it. *Everything now has the same level system, monsters included. One standard monster = One PC of same level.
Minion (/4), Standard (x1), Elite (x2), Solo (x5). Dragons, for example, are solo.
So...Hmm...
Maybe my brain just needed jogging.

Heh heh, that's the thing about this new system, a lot of my powers mark somebody for the next player but if I do good enough the power does nothing since I just kill my target outright. Oh well, I rolled max damage back there, the only way I could've done better is if I criticaled. We'll see how well the powers work in the next round.

Re: Anyone up for a dungeon crawl? OOC thread
Ok. Here's what I got.
I edited my post on the IC board.
Attack and Damage Roll, estimated. (1d20+5=24, 1d6+2=4)
Ok, I rolled a 19 on the d20 and a 2 on the d6 for the rapier. Were those the dice I needed to roll?
EDIT: Edited Damage Roll. (1d8+6=11)
Is this right? I have no idea. Do I aggro that bandit? What's my DPS? Do I have any toggle powers I need to activate at this level or just click powers?
I feel bad for Tom, because he hates MMORPG terms, while 4e is a dice and paper MMORPG.
OH the times, they are a changin![/singing]

Re: Anyone up for a dungeon crawl? OOC thread
Rapiers are now a d8; basic melee attack is Strength mod + 1/2 level + proficiency bonus (If you are proficient with rapiers).
So that's Something + 1 + 3. If your strength mod is +1, you're doing fine. You do get to re-roll damage, though, since the damage changed on the rapier.
Mostly. Fighters aggro anything they hit; makes it harder for the target to attack anything else. With a d8, about 0.375, assuming you hit about half the time.
I think fighters may get some stances, but not at level 2.

Re: Anyone up for a dungeon crawl? OOC thread
I'm pretty sure some stuff is supposed to happen, but I'm in the middle of a teeensy little breakdown brought on by approaching my 29th birthday, upon which I will have had sciziophrenia for 15 years.
That is over 50%.
This...Is not helping my peace of mind. At all.

Re: Anyone up for a dungeon crawl? OOC thread
I think our main question is how the combat is faring. Have we killed our opponents?

Two dead bandits in this bonster attack, a sergent has been challenged and there's a dangling plot hook for Nightbreeze.
Hopefully, I'm over my breakdown. *Hopeful grin*

Re: Anyone up for a dungeon crawl? OOC thread
Just to note, Second Wind can only be used once per encounter or every five minutes. Otherwise, you need a medic.
In 4e, surges are part of your health meter. As long as you've got some left, 'tis only a flesh wound.

Re: Anyone up for a dungeon crawl? OOC thread
I thought that I had taken damage in the first attack, that's why I decided to use the surge on this attack. If that was the first two then I wouldn't use the surge. Oops.
Also, since I went up a level my surge is 3 hp, so it would've been a waste either way!

Yeah, that hit. But your surge value should be higher than 3; did you add your constitution or your constitution modifier fo your HP?
Also, could everyone PM me their character sheets? Thanks.
