Hellsing Crush

Post by LordDeraj »

Listen there was probably already one of these made but I'm new to this forum and I wanted to start off with something easy

Rip van the Huntress, don't know why I got a thing for evil psycho chicks with long dark hair and glasses.

You can have my Rippy when you pry her from my cold dead fingers. :P (Kidding.)

Girls + Glasses = Win. It's really that simple. My preference for dark hair and love of psychos makes me choose Rippy over Integra. But it's close.

Schroe is also awesome. :D

Captain

Caaaaaaaaaaptaaaaaaaaaaaaaain

I also used to love Alucard, but he seems a bit 'meh' to me nowadays xD;

Hm. Well, my first and primary love is always Alucard, but Rip holds a very special place in my heart. At first I just felt really bad for her (her death was the scariest in the series, but why I believe that is a long story), but then it turned to respect, love, and comparisons to Alu-sama (which counts as love). Besides, she looks like Yomiko, my first ever girl-crush. :shucks:

Schro's another one. Bishies in hot-pants = happy Brynnie.
I got the way and means to New Orleans
I'm goin' down by the river where it's warm and green
I'm gonna have a drink, then walk around
I got a lot to think about

Hmm.... let's see

Integra:
Pros - Strong and self-reliant (two of my favorite traits in a woman). Sexy. Head of a secret government organization.
Cons - Smoker. Also, I just have this feeling we'd end up trying to kill each other after 20 minutes together.

Seras:
Pros - Kind. Strong. Would make all my friends jealous.
Cons - Even though I might be stripped of my strait guy membership card for saying this, I don't like huge boobs (and Seras' are WAY to big). Also, she's kind of annoying, IMHO.

Rip van:
Pros - Sexy. Strong. Freckles. Likes opera and guns. Probably a good singer. NOT too huge boobs.
Cons - The whole nazi thing would make social gatherings awkward.

Girlycard:
Pros - Sexy. Super strong. Wears fur.
Cons - With apologies to Shine's Pip, that would entirely depend on how many of what was where.

So tallying up the pros and cons, I think I'll have to go with Rip van.
...and in the end a comet collided with the planet.

I can't believe no-one's mentions Ms no-actual-name secretary person who survived the attack on the mansion by Luke and Jan in the TV series!

How come there's no love for her?!

In Shine, at least, she's already going out with one of the Wild Geese :D

I think my answer to this thread is obvious. Mmmm, Integra.

There was a quote from Hirano, I think it might have been at Anime Expo last year, that called Rip 'an amalgamation of all my fetishes'. Win.

Explains why I like Hellsing so much. The author and myself share the same tastes. It also explains why her death used gobs of phallic imagery.

HM... I'm going to say that my "Hellsing crush" would have to be Young!Vlad. Before I discovered Hellsing, I kind of knew about Vlad the Impaler (much less so about Bram Stoker's Dracula), and I kind of thought he was cool from what little I knew. After I discovered Hellsing though, I learned a LOT more about him, and I'm even more interested in all of the history relating to him than ever. (not that I'm an expert though)

So, I guess I like Alucard a lot more than I've ever admitted before (being Vlad the Impaler himself contributes to that a lot, obviously). Plus, I think that Young!Vlad is adorable, and he's about my age. As for other male characters like Pip and Young Walter, I've never really had a constant interest in them like I do Vlad the Impaler.

Rip is my first choice because I am not really phased by the freaky and Seras is my second choice because I feel that she would be fun to hang out with.

First it was Walter thinking " wow coolest butler EVER!" then it was Alucard's hat think" mmmm hat, coolest hat EVER!" Now it Rip thinking "she doesn't need a hat, I love hats coolest nazi EVER! Plus I like her outfit."

I am in a similar position on this. I've also read books on the young Vlad Tepes and have to say he is also an "abnormal" crush of mine.

Schrodinger. A bishi catboy in an awsome uniform. What's not to love?

I vote Rip. Manga Integra is also hot, but she's a bit too dry onscreen. You can only push Emotionless Monolith so far before you become an emotionless monolith. I bet Rip sings in the shower.

I think part of the appeal in wanting Rippy or Schroe is that it's generally assumed you can reform them from their past lives, i.e. convince them that being Nazis isn't such a great thing. And, of all the Millennium members, Rip and Schroe are the two most likely to be persuaded of such a thing.

Dandy and Zorin come across as common thugs - they're Nazis because they like to hurt others as a demonstration of their power. Doc is in it for knowledge - he wants to conduct unethical experiments he can't otherwise perform. Captain has unshakable loyalty (it's the pack mentality). And Major has a death wish a mile wide.

Schroe, on the other hand, is probably just a Nazi so he can have the outfit and because he thinks it's fun. Give him some other position that lets him enjoy life and he'll be all over that. Rippy seems to act for the good of the cause, perhaps out of some undeserved loyalty to the Major. (Insert long rambling about how Rippy's not as bad as the other Millennium people because of blah blah blah.) Shake her from her devotion and she could be redeemed.

Either that, or, because Schrodinger's pretty.

Shallow reasons for fanboying/crushing FTW.
