Ouch! A month of probation without pay for Pip. Good thing he just has to do housework instead of fighting supernatural threats for his punishment. I think most of us would be fine with doing housework without pay instead of risking your life as a mercenary without pay.
Considering Walter's experience as a member of Hellsing along with putting someone like Mr. Bernadette in charge of entertainment, he really did show bad judgment (unless Walter did this on purpose; considering his loyalties).

Hopefully you're right about him putting Pip in charge purposely because it really did surprise me at how careless that was. <DFrey wrote: Considering Walter's experience as a member of Hellsing along with putting someone like Mr. Bernadette in charge of entertainment, he really did show bad judgment (unless Walter did this on purpose; considering his loyalties).

Walter is likely in store not for the angry being yelled at Seras and Pip got but a sadly delivered "Walter...I'm very disappointed in you." which I think would have worked just as well if not better if used on Seras, she has more then a bit of hero worship of Integra and folks usually prefer being yelled by someone they respect and admire then to be told they let them down.

I wouldn't say Seras would be more cowed by a 'I'm disappointed in you' line from Intergra... shouting would work better, simply to override her arguements and drive the point home.
Though I'm surprised Walter got even a little shout - a simple 'I'm disappointed' would have worked, as said before.

yeah i agree, but then what about the innerworkings of a mercenary?Frey wrote:Ouch! A month of probation without pay for Pip. i mean if a real Merc would be in that situation he would go like "Sure, like i care... ill just find someone else who is in need of my special service's."
personally i would think that Pip taking it all is very un mercenary like.
but considering his liking to seras, i would not declair his acting inposable, its just out of place in my opinion.
after all, a mercenary only knows alegance to the highest bidder nothing else matters after that.

Speaking as a goody-two-shoes with a half-Irish mother, hearing "I'm disappointed in you" often has a deeper effect than simple yelling. I agree, I'd rather be yelled at than be used by the guilt card. Although I usually play that on myself even if it is just yelling. <DBrynnie-chan wrote:Speaking as a goody-two-shoes with a half-Irish mother, hearing "I'm disappointed in you" often has a deeper effect than simple yelling. Didn't Walter say he was familiar with the Wild Geese and that's why he hired them? They could be working for Hellsing due to a favor he's cashing in dating back from his Shinigami days. That would explain it.Tommygunner70 wrote:yeah i agree, but then what about the innerworkings of a mercenary?

"As long as they're paid under contract, the Wild Geese will never betray us." I expect Pip, being a true professional and all, probably feels pretty bad about putting Hellsing in danger. Way to get you're boss killed.
EDIT: Course, it was Walter who said that, so I'm sure he still feels worse than Pip.

I thought his attire was rather snazzy, especially for a formal dinner/party like Integra's birthday. As for the party, well I hope Integra enjoys being alone with Alucard, not much of a lost for the rest, I mean I wouldn't want to be hanging around the Boss in the mood she's in there.
Presents? This should be interesting to see what everyone got Integra and if it improves her spirits any?

I don’t think that it's a matter of something being wrong with them per say, it's just that formal attire probably isn't the best clothing for everyday wear for an active young catboy. A simple t-shirt with jean shorts and a collar would probably be a lot better for his everyday wear.Frey wrote:Integra tells Seras and Walter to get the catboy more appropriate clothes? What is wrong with what he is wearing now?
Let’s just hope for Schroe’s sake that Seras isn’t one of those owners who feels the urge to dress her pets in silly outfits and take pictures. Although with a catboy I suppose that would be awfully tempting…
I hope it does. She hasn't been having a very happy birthday thus far, has she? Well, maybe somebody will get her some exotic cigars. Integra would probably like that.Arvanna wrote:Presents? This should be interesting to see what everyone got Integra and if it improves her spirits any?
And Schroe could say "Happy Birthday" by coming up and giving her a nice little mouse

you might be right.Xuanwu wrote:Didn't Walter say he was familiar with the Wild Geese and that's why he hired them? They could be working for Hellsing due to a favor he's cashing in dating back from his Shinigami days. That would explain it.
but even if you cash in a favor, there is no way its going to last for ever.
a merc goes after the money, plain and simple. ok maybe walter has a lot of favors left to ask of him.
but even then there will be a limit as to how much a person will take.
and then just to move into more details on mercenary groups:
as i saw the Wild Geese in the manga, Pip is the leader. he looks up job offeres, looks it if there able to pull it off, buy gear and ammo, take care of transport and gets the pay off at the end and splits it with his fellows.
he basically is the brains behind the Wild Geese, any body else is just musle/work-horse for the job its self.
i just hope Integral is paying every one with there own pay check, and not that Pip gets it and hand every one there share, or you may just end up with a roid of agry workers who won't do there job untill they get payed...
*looks around* i just knew this information would come in handy. thank uncle, rest in peaces.

Hmm... what to give her as a present... maybe i would give her a silver sigar box with some old fashion Cuban cigars to go with it.Presents? This should be interesting to see what everyone got Integra and if it improves her spirits any?
that will stop vampires from stealing her cigars like Jan Valentine did. Rofl!

*chuckles* you realy think so?SailorPtah wrote:That's a really clever idea!Tommygunner70 wrote:i would give her a silver sigar box with some old fashion Cuban cigars to go with it.

Hmm... never mind, stupid question.
go ahead and use it should you want to, i don't use copyrights on ideas anyhow :p
but yeah i thought of it when i remembered she smokes cigars on the go.
and if a smoker hates more then anything, it's some one else snatching your smokes. that made me remember Jan commenting on the cigar thing.
but that sure would be one exspansive cigar box, unless Alucard it ready to give up some of his silverware (blessed silver amunition.) i just have to wonder where they can dig up so much silver anyway.
it sometimes makes me wonder how large there monthly buget is.
**edit**
and after editing this post 2 times in a row i am done, my english writing seems to be worse then normal

integra wants to be alone with alucard.Even if he didn't do anything wrong, he wasn't there when she needed him
doesn't she care?
that's what i think: when everything goes wrong, she wants to be with him
finally the vampire is the one she trusts the most, and the links between them are strong
am i wrong?
