Chapter 03: Gritty City
Chapter 03: Gritty City
Posting a new topic for every update is beginning to flood the board so I'm going to compress the whole chapter into one topic. That way not only does it keep the board neat but you can comment on multiple strips or go back and comment on an older one freely without digging through all the past topics.
The cover goes up at midnight, so keep an eye out.

And the first strip of this chapter is up. The opening will cover this strip and the next and as you can imagine will be very Milleresque. In fact I highly recommend that you read this and the next strip out loud. It helps with the pacing and mood. I wrote these to be verbally narrated so give it a try. You might get to freak out someone in the room. Those of you reading from a college computer might get invitations to the drama club

Today's comic titled: "Wicked Transistor"
Yes that's a Korn reference.
Pooky's hobby is a strange one. Pooky's personality is showcased more here. Though back in chapter 1. Pooky isn't only a cynic but is actually rather self loathing as well.
next week's preview below.

The next one is up. This one develops Piago a bit more, and a brief joke at Penny's expense. This will actually be important later on.
Next week's update falls on Xmas day and I will not miss a beat. I know most webcomics will be doing Xmas comics but I intend to keep the story going.

This is a big one. New art style, two major revelations in the story between Hannibal and Penelope, and a guitar to the head to top it all off. I poured a ton of effort into this one, even going so far as to draw all of the little buckles on Hannibal's Jacket.
So this brings a whole new level of emoness to AntiBunny. Penelope is homeless and Hannibal is in love with her, yet doesn't have the courage to admit it....on top of that he's twice her age.
Talk about screwed up. Hey, no one ever said life was easy.
Next week's comic falls on New Year's day. Who can say they updated the last two holiday's in a row without a cop out or filler?
Preview attached.

If you're looking for that particular Sin City story it can be found in graphic novel form under the title of "The Hard Goodbye".
It's still in print and can be found at most any book store or comic shop. On top of that if you get the director's cut version of Sin City it comes with the DVD.
No excuses. READ *cracks whip*
and always. Preview below.

If by this point you haven't noticed, Penny is a walking misfortune magnet. What do you think of the way I drew the rain? I did a sort of layered effect using varying line thicknesses to give the whole picture a saturated feel with rain in the foreground overlapping the image. tiny drops of background rain, and of course rain in the main ground that hits the objects in the picture. If you look closely you'll see I actually drew where droplets splash off when they strike something. Appropriate enough, it's raining right now.

Sorry for missing last week's commentary and preview. I finally got my hands on a Wii and have been playing Zelda.
But this week I'm back. I'd like to point out the commentary below the comic. If you missed it, then I recommend you head over to the art section and check out my entry into Keenlace.

The name of this arc is Gritty City for a reason. It's about the city and what goes on there, so this strip is important as to establishing that it had a different name in the past. Combine that with what yous aw in nailbat two weeks back and yous ee that as Glimmer City it was once a gold mining town, but since the mines have been mined out it's been in constant decay.
As always. Next week's preview is attached
