Incidentally I'm also without internet at home, so that's a bit of an inhibitor in getting the comics made (no access to reference pics), and getting them posted. I hate to miss updates, but between the two jobs, lack of net, and moving, it was bound to happen. In the Newsbox I wrote:Circumstances (e.g. two jobs, one of which had me working a 12-hour shift last night,) have appropriately forced me to take a break this Labor Day week. TG will be back with new comics on Monday, September 11th, and I may attempt to catch up for lost time with Saturday updates. Thanks, and I'll see you on Monday!

Taking a break this week...
Two jobs? Pfft welcome to my world! Sucks ass don't it? Moving and no net cringe... I plan to move two more times in my life out of an apartment and into a house then after the kids grow up to the mountains. Actually I might buy one of those million dollar motorhomes and roam about the country. yea that'd be cool. We should revolt or something... yea RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!
And TG counts as a third. But hey, I did over three months without missing an update, so I think I'm doing pretty good.Lando wrote:Two jobs? Pfft welcome to my world! Sucks ass don't it?
The suckiest part is that there is almost no benefit in this move for me. My roommate is buying the house across the street, so I'm kind of dragged along for the ride. They get a bathroom in their room, so that will leave the main bathroom mostly to me, so I guess that's a bit of an advantage.Moving and no net cringe... No telling how many more times I'll have to move. I can't even think about owning a house at this point.
Guess I wasn't quite ready to come back yet. More work popped up, and I still don't have internet at the house. I did a 20-hour day yesterday between the two jobs, so unfortunately comicry was just not happening. I'll try to get one drawn this weekend, but no promises. In the blurb I wrote:Updates will be sporadic while I'm in the process of moving while simultaneously being killed by work. This is NOT a hiatus - things will return to normal soon. In the meantime, thanks for hanging in there!
You might want to get a few in the can before you start satiating the BURNING NEED FOR TREADING GROUND. Not only would that keep us on the hook and make us appreciate new installments that much more, but it would also give you a buffer in case you need a bigger lead time due to more work/internet issues!
I can certainly relate, man. Take your time...but in the meanwhile, I wonder what we can all do to add some salsa to the forum here?

I've never had much luck with buffers, to tell the truth. "I have to get 5 comics done" is a hell of a lot more daunting of a task than "I have to get Monday's comic done," and I have allowed it to lure me into inaction in the past. I really just want to miss the fewest updates possible.
When I get back in my groove, the goal is to update normally and build up a buffer at the same time before I eventually switch to M-W-F. Until recently I had been getting faster with the actual work, streamlining my techniques and such, so it should be a possibility even with all the work.
