I blame the copious amounts of taffy and other sugary things I was feeding you the entire time. XD
You were also under the spell of the ukulele music.

Ah, yes... the ukulele... most seductive of the comically-small instruments...
You're just jealous because you can't get away with speaking in the third person...

It's not the size that counts . . . it's how you use it! :D

CANADIAN INVASION!

Post by Pimpette »

Wasn't sure where this would go, so Sketches seemed the safest bet.

Some of you saw me working on this at the cookout itself. I was trying to keep myself "caught up" on it when we went back to our room at night and stuff, but I kept falling asleep on it. It got a little forgotten when we got home and some other stuff came up... but I found it again and am determined to finish it.

I present the first two pages of CANADIANS INVADE ST LOUIS!

It's not word-for-word and some bits may be slightly exaggerated for humourous purposes, but all of this actually happened. And there's plenty more where this came from.

At some point I think we Americans just decided to leave the vending machines alone. More trouble than they're worth.

...Tim Horton? :-?

Name of the popular doughnut-and-coffee chain up north there.

Also, what's so confusing about the gas pumps? They work just the same here as they do there. (Aside from the different measurements)

Also also, these sketches are awesome and I demand more.

You need to update your systems of measurements, is the damned problem. The rest of the bloody world did, dammit follow suit!
Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

The gas pump was odd, I put it in, did what I was suppose to and it didn't work. We had to take it out, wait a bit then try it again to get it to work. Far too sensitive I figure.

Yeah it was just being bitchy. Something about that weird thingy on the bottom that you had to hit up or something.
And as I recall, a lot of the stations we went to, you had to go and pay inside first, which may also have accounted for some of our confusion.

That's the Department of Homeland Security's Citizen Chip - if you aren't American, you don't get our gas.

... apparently when you went in to ask for help, the chip figured you were dumb enough to be one of us. ;)

Some of you didn't sign your sketches, or else signed using initials that I cannot reliably match up. For shame! *wags finger*
