Okay, the London Rendezvous is now less than a week away, so how about some effort at organisation?
What we did last time was pretty successful. Most of us gave Lag our mobile numbers so no one would get lost and then we met him up at the British Museum at 11am on the dot (apart from Komiyan and Gort who were late because they had to have a morning makeout session or something) where he, and the other natives, guided us to The Thing at Mile End.
I'm not certain of how to get to Mile End and I'm not at all looking forward to trying to find my way there on my own so that's why I'm all in favour of trying the proven formula again.
The obvious difference is that Odd1, Ryclaude, Komiyan, Bekka and War have tables of their own now so they probably have to be there earlier. So I guess if the rest of us want to do a pre-Thing meetup and then get there together, and Lag doesn't resurface in time to reprise the role, we have to pick someone else to guide us... unless we all give our number to Ryclaude and he remote directs us from his warm comfy table stroking his cat.
For afters we did some ambling and eating in central London. I dont know how you guys with tables are planning to do this if you have to stay really long till the very end and then clean up and have leftover stuff that needs storage... so the rest of us may have to do that without yous. And without the people leaving early of course.
Additionaly, this is also to confirm who is and isn't coming.

From the british museum the closest tube station is tottenham court road just off oxford street and near virgin megastore. (Least I think it's the closest.)
That's on the northern line but crosses with the central line which goes all the way to mile end station.
The map to the great hall from the tube station is here: http://www.ukwebcomixthing.co.uk/2006/venue.php , Mile end station is off to the right, stepney green to the left, mile end is closer.
