Agreed. "Cunt" is one of the few truely offensive words left in the english language. Everything else is just sort of overused and not really shocking anymore. But for some reason, calling someone a cunt gets thier dander up. Even I feel a little uncomfortable using it in this post.
i can swear in five languages and even I avoid that word.

Only because people consider it to be so.

For V Day (i.e. Day of Feminist RAGE!) on campus last year, I got myself (in a package of assorted weird and/or artsy buttons) a button that says "CUNT" in order to Reclaim the Word. It fell off my bag and someone else claimed it. ;_;

I think it depends on who's saying it, personally. For example, among my friends, I tend to call my guy friends cocksuckers and call all my friends bitches. It's okay because they know me and they know I'm just joking around. But I would never just call someone that who I'd just met and didn't really know.

If I had a friend that called me "cunt" all the time, I wouldn't be offended. But if someone I don't know or am just not comfortable with in that way said it, yeah, I'd be offended.

Usually stuff just offends me if someone is deliberate about it, it's not a joke, and they're really trying to insult me. That's when I take 'em down.

Kinda like how one of my friends calls me a chink sometimes. It's done in sarcasm. If someone else does it, then I kick them, because I obviously have karate skills.

Obviously.

Eh... It's not the word that bothers me. I don't really want to be called anything deragatory. But until I'm told otherwise, I'm just going to assume that it was meant in jest.

I'm not sure why, but "twat" is a funny word.

I think some people think of "cunt" being a funny word because it's one of the most forbidden of all words, especially since fuck and shit have become so common-place as to replace most people's "really" or "um".

The word "twat" itself sounds funny, kinda like "pony."

DM always makes jokes like that, clumsy, but made as to feed the impression of a hateful person he builds around himself.

Anyways, what does "cunt" mean anyways?

Yeah, I'm gonna agree this just feels like an angry thread. None of the traditional "fake hating because we really love you" being felt here.

A lot of things are better than dead ponies. Like that mouse I watched die the other day.
