I plan on using water colors for the children book I'm going to make... I think they're maybe better fit for illustrations than comics, I dunno. Probably depends on the style.
You should check out the French comic "Blacksad." Now there is masterful draftsmaship, with watercolors too.
Gosh. Someone talks about a comic I actually know about, and I flat out miss it. I've got the first two albums ('Somewhere between the shadows' and 'Arctic Nation') and they're unbelievably brilliant. The style is just perfect, and the choices for anthropomorphization is just dead on. I thought it was really fitting that the head of the white Supremacists was a polar bear, and when the mysterious missing playboy screenwriter Leon was revealed to've been a lion I smacked my head.

LAG recently picked up the special sketchbook for Blacksad. It's full of really good art from the series.

I heard that the writing is pretty bad, though. And that they aren't going to release English versions of the new Blacksad books.

I wonder if they have Blacksad in my local comic book store... how popular / well-known is it really? Here they carry mostly main stream comics... :-?

Apparently it was popular enough to be translated into English. As far as French comics are concerned, that's VERY popular.

I bet the French are appalled by the mere thought!

Blacksad is one of those comics that looks so good that I don't mind having a poster of a catgirl on my wall.

Blacksad's writing is decent. It's just that the art is on such a high level that it outclasses the writing.

I have the 3rd Blacksad book in French with an English translation on separate paper. I asked the guy at the convention I got it at if it was going to be released in english anytime soon, and he said the publisher went out to business and they're looking for another company to pick up distribution for the English translation.

The compleate animation thing... sure it was rushed in the end cause I wanted to go to eat and I lowered the quality because of the size...sorry.

Then I got so lazy I used a reference... I blame SuburbanLetdown for this one.

I do not remember much from the Fox & the Hound. The eyes on the Fox are a little... off.

Yeah, one eye is looking in a slighty different direction. Pretty cool other than that.

I saw it for the first time the other day and I liked it a lot. It made me sad like Toy Story 2, and it's one of a few Disney films that doesn't have a happy ending.
