Don't treat us like adopted animals getting their names changed to Fluffy. We are all responsible and able to make choices, not some two year-olds needing people deciding for us.

I choose neither and ability to come up with our own.

Um chris, you know that everything but the http://www.keenspace.com site already points *.toonspace.com to *.keenspace.com . It's all a matter of switching one thing in the database, and then it works the other way.

I didn't change the www site because I wanted you to announce it before I changed anything.

Both names are rather unoriginal and easily dismissible.

Oh, I was unaware of that. I'm not at all used to things happening that fast. :(

Well, it's not over until our homepage is altered with a new logo and so on, then...

I'm withholding my vote in the poll box. Mainly because I'm not too big on either. As I said before, the name could have been worse, I agree. Out of the two though, I'd go with webcomicspace, But I will still hold off a while before casting a real vote.

If those are the only two choices we have webcomicspace is the one I'd go with simply because it's the only one of the two not being used by another artist.

They're both uninspired names in my opinion (no offence to the artist who is already using Toonspace). Hell maybe she'd give you guys the name if she were to see how dull and uninspired most of the people here think the name is.

I thought KeenSpace was a dumb name, but it sure didn't keep me from being hosted here. Toonspace is fine. Let's get on with our lives.

I kind of agree with you. I figured I'd get used to the name eventually.
But I can't bring myself to vote for either of the choices.

I dunno'...I'd go with Toonspace. Seems a little catchier the Webcomicspace.

But it seems my decision isn't winning...oh well. Either will do I guess.

It seems to me that the "webcomicspace" vote is just to be contrary. It's clunky and supergeneric, but it's not what Crosby wants, so we win, I guess. I don't know. I'm wondering what they could've picked that people wouldn't be pissed at.

From those two options, I prefer Webcomicspace.

Hmm. That was very tactfully put. Really, though, I don't care a great deal. I do concede the point that "toons" implies childish and animated, though, so there we are.

Yeah, but it's so generic sounding...

...plus "webcomic space" inplies that the stuff here are solely webcomics...what about those who have had their stuff appear in print? Ehn, just strikes me as too limiting.

But whatever, I don't really care too much. To be perfectly honest, both options are better than "Keenspace".

I find "Toonspace" to be a slap in the face for any 'serious' themed comic on Keenspace. "Toon" implies a derivative of animations, we all know it's short for "Cartoon". Cartoon, while one of it's definitions is a "comic strip", it's actual definitions, and connotations refer to humorous or sarcastic drawings. Many of us have comics that more along the lines of Graphic Novels to cute little cartoons.

I also think the name would be a magnet for a younger audience that will get an eyefull of something their parents might be suehappy over.

While I think "Webcomicspace" is extremely generic, I Find it to be the lesser of two evils.

If "Toonspace" is a slap in the face, you take yourself too seriously. My comic isn't madcap adventures either, but I have little trouble calling myself a cartoonist or referring to my drawing as doodles. At worst, Toonspace is a touch inappropriate for serious work. But I prefer that to WebcomicSpace, which is a mouthful, particularly in the middle of the domain name. But I think we'll get through this regardless.
