Thank you. There's not a day goes by I'm not thankful I met someone as wonderful as him.

Re: My trip to Ann Arbor
Concerning Copenhagen and Amsterdam, I swing both ways. Now, I'll try and get a hold of Xander and see what he's up to. Although.. I'm on the move to a party soon so I'll tell him tomorrow, although I guess we better decide on something pretty fast.Paul Escobar wrote:I spoke with Mr. T yesterday - he's game for an End of Things Con in Copenhagen. So am I. What do you and BF say?ShannC wrote:Oh Berlin? I'm still thinking about our prospects of seeing Mr. Tosser though. Maybe if he'll go to Amsterdam too.. Let's think about it....
Too bad it may be without BF, but I can understand that reason of absence.

Re: My trip to Ann Arbor
There are reasonably cheap flights London-Copenhagen if you don't mind flying from Gatwick; EasyJet sells a round-trip ticket for about £70. And I'm sure we can talk Mr. T into letting you occupy his guest room, so you'd have no hotel costs (that was what I planned on doing, but I can stay with family instead). It won't be a real con without you there!Bloodied Fox wrote:If you know any insanely cheap deals I'd love to hear them though

Re: My trip to Ann Arbor
I'm pretty flexible time-wise this year. I'll be visiting my parents for a few days around June 14th, but other than that, I can go whenever suits you guys.Bloodied Fox wrote:That sounds doable, now we just need to work out when
Also, whoops, I didn't look properly: EasyJet's flights to Copenhagen are from Stansted, not Gatwick. But according to their site, you can get a round-trip ticket as cheap as £50.
Have an American con, of course... you could have it happen where The End of Things takes place - Illinois, IIRC?Pravus wrote:What about use poor Americese? What are we supposed to do?

K... I Pm'ed Xander but I don't know if he ever logs into that forum anymore. Does anyone know a functional mail of his?
Think this'll be pretty sweet though, now that it looks like you may come after all BF! Though it would be nice if can get our polish friend aswell, and why not, some other forumite from here. Go book a transatlantic flight you guys!
Oh, and Suburb, aren't you excited to have a personal fan convention?

Re: My trip to Ann Arbor
well, I've already got the week starting august 18th booked so that's an optimal time for me, otherwise I'd have to nag work about rescheduling some of my other time off

Might have been sooner, but I had some artwork to do and skills to set for training on EVE Online...

Xander! Welcome, comrade!
So what do you say regarding a meet-up?
(Apologies, Suburban, seems we've went and hijacked your topic.)

Re: My trip to Ann Arbor
Well, admittedly I had thought the idea had died off and I hadn't made any plans for it...
But then, give me a month's notice in advance and have it before October, and I should be able to make it all the same. Just might take some negotiation with the holiday funding committee (read: parents) to get the trip funded. But that should be an easy task.

Not in the South. That's Klan territory.
What's in Illinois? Chicago, Urbane-Champaign, and lots of stuff called the "Midwest."
