It depends on the viewer. That smile in panel was pretty creepy though. I toned it down a bit. And redrawing the hand obscures his smile a bit in panel 4.Pravus wrote:Thanks....I still don't think in the original he was flirting, but I think you did a good job

CG's up and running again. And the page turned out real nice. I agree with yeahduff; the expressions are much better now. The hand looks fine too. Good job.
Focusing on the totality of the work rather than individual frames is a good idea. It's easy - tempting really - to get lost in details that don't really make any difference to the reading experience.
For the same reason, I'm seriously considering doing digital "inking" for my work-in-slow-progress. My tablet pen inking looks far sketchier than my brush inking, but brush inking takes me so damn long. So yeah.
I actually can't tell much difference regarding the inking. Perhaps it's more obvious when looking at the original art or a print version rather than 600x900 px gifs.theSuburbanLetdown wrote:I didn't actually spend much time inking it. I used a pitt marker for most of the figures. I need to stop caring and get faster. I'm trying to adopt the mindset of the whole over the part. It's not like Jeff Smith blew us away on every page of Bone.

Look at what the crow in the upper right-hand corner is saying:

I used to see these commercials all the time.
Also, keep in mind we don't know where Evan lives, so we don't know what direction they're going in.

Obviously you do care, or you wouldn't have said anything. Or are you really just an asshole?
